One day, I decided to visit my son John at his new restaurant. I'm not a rich woman, and all my life, I've spent my savings on the education and growth of my son, who's now a great success.

I was sitting in my usual clothes, drinking tea, when a woman in a designer outfit came up to me and kicked me out of my seat, saying it was reserved for her and her boyfriend. When I apologized, she decided to humiliate me by pointing out that I looked like I didn't belong there.

I almost cried, and feeling humiliated, I decided to leave the restaurant without waiting for my son. I also didn't want to tell him about the situation. Still, the next day was our big day — John was bringing his girlfriend to meet me.

Imagine how shocked I was when my son introduced his girlfriend, and she turned out to be the same arrogant woman from the restaurant. Of course, she recognized me but continued to act as if nothing had happened.

More to the point, my son said, "Sarah has this amazing idea. She wants to buy a café and run it herself. We were hoping you could lend us some money to get it started." His girlfriend looked at me demandingly as John said those words.

My friend asked me and 5 other girls to be her bridesmaids, and one was the maid of honor (MOH).

The bride had already picked out dresses for everyone. They were nice but expensive at $400 each. Since I was still studying, my budget was super tight. The MOH told us she'd pay for our dresses with her credit card, and we could repay her later. We all agreed.

I couldn't pick up the dress with the other girls because of my exams. So, I decided to go on my own later.
I tried on the dress at the shop, and it looked perfect. But as I was walking out the door, a shop employee yelled, "HEY! THAT WILL BE $200!" I was like 'WHAT?!' I apologized, confused.

Richard hadn’t seen his daughter since his wife’s funeral, four years ago. At last, he pulled into her driveway and knocked on the door. When Deidre opened the front door, he spread his arms wide and yelled: "Surprise!"

"Dad? What are you doing here?" Tears ran freely down Deidre's face as she looked at Richard in horror.

"I came to celebrate my birthday with you...it's the big eight-oh, and I wanted to spend it with my daughter." Richard reached out to take Deidre's hand. "What's going on, honey? Why are you crying?"

My son Scott never told me about his girlfriends. I began to wonder if he had any and if he even liked girls.

But one day, Scott started talking about a girl he was communicating with.
My husband Michael and I were shocked because it was the first time we had heard anything like this from Scott.
Scott looked happier than ever, telling us how much he liked this girl and how they always had something to talk about. His eyes sparkled with excitement as he shared stories about their conversations.
