Puddle Bear Clothing

Last month Puddle Bear took a trip downtown NYC to the Humpty, Canty and Rothy radio show at Versa. But a few days after that trip we were actually contacted and invited to meet the guys again at their ESPN New York and 98.7 FM offices in the ABC building in Manhattan. So after some back and forth we scheduled that day for earlier today.

Now originally when we first showed up at Versa sportin' our Canty meets Jaws football jerseys they asked if we could hook them up with some T-shirts too! So of course we were down for that, but we decided to go a step further and pressed hockey jerseys for them instead. We wanted to make sure they each got unique jerseys so Rothenberg got a Rangers jersey and of course DiPietro, Islanders. But the toughest was what jersey colors to get Canty??? We didn’t want to get Canty a Rangers jersey or Islanders jersey since Rothy and Humpty got them, so we opted for a hockey jersey close to the Giants colors but was more Team USA inspired and seemed fitting. The jersey style also looks really good and I knew it was made in Canada, so the quality is superb.

So finally this morning we got to drive down to NYC, meet with the guys again and hook them up with the jerseys. We got to shake hands, chat with the guys, take pictures and even got to meet many of the great employees at ESPN. Many of the people we were introduced to were personable and humble to meet us which was really cool. I also want to give a HUGE shout out to Mr. Jeff Skopin for setting it all up, walking us around, making introductions and giving us a full tour of the ESPN offices. Jeff even took us into the studios and we got to hang out in the production studio for a while and even in the live studio (but of course not while it was live on air). But we got to watch and hear some of the behind the scenes drops get made on the spot. One in particular was of an Islanders fan calling in and immediately bashing on the Rangers. Even though the Islanders won its 1st playoff game last night against the Penguins, this guy Fran from Massapequa couldn't help himself but need to bash on the Rangers…So Ray one of the producers was working in Adobe Audition and it took him literally seconds to grab a funny drop of this guy Fran say “Biggest thing in the Islanda’s world is hatin’ the Ranga’s” This made all of us obnoxiously laugh out loud in the studio while everybody was trying to work (Sorry!) and I’m a Rangers fan and still found this funny!

Well anyways Dave, Ryan (MG Diggz) and I had a great time overall at ESPN today. We enjoyed Jeff's ESPN "fire" story which we won’t speak of here heheh and they invited us again when Canty actually goes into the shark tank sometime later this year so we’re definitely looking forward to that! But before I go I just want to give one more shout out. I was starting to feel hungry since I skipped breakfast this morning and opted to close up our trip downtown to have some good food so I took a literally 20 minute 1 MILE drive through downtown to the corner of 53rd and 6th to get some food from The Halal Guys. Delish! We of course bought it to go, then made a beeline back to our shop just to gobble it all up (I won’t mention how fast I was goin’ heheh) and I even brought back an extra tray of food for Debb. You’re Welcome Debbie Winthal
