The NYU Journal of Law & Business Fall Conference is quickly approaching! This year, panelists will speak about America's Place in the World: Tax Reform and Protectionism.

President Trump and Congress plan to lower corporate taxes and streamline regulation on import and export taxes in the hopes of enticing companies to remain active in the US job market. While this has energized the business world, conservative economists are wary about Trump’s trade instincts and protectionist initiatives. The first panel on tax reform will address individual income tax, as well as taxation at the corporate level. This will lead into a discussion during the second panel on using tax reform as one of the ways to accomplish a protectionist agenda.
