🎂 Happy Birthday, Governor Flower!
Born on this day—August 6, 1835—Roswell P. Flower wasn’t just another politician with great sideburns. He was the 30th Governor of New York and the man who signed the law that created the Adirondack Park. 🌲

Lake Flower in Saranac Lake? Yep, named after him. So next time you're sipping coffee by the lake or cruising in a canoe, give a little mental toast to the guy who made sure this corner of wild beauty was protected.

Adirondack Film is excited to partner with The Strand Theater at Schroon Lake and Adirondack State Theater, to present two screenings of the James Bond classic, “From Russia with Love”, on August 4th and 5th. Both screenings will feature a special introduction from film historian and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) host Jeremy Arnold.

Sean Connery’s second foray into the world of espionage and intrigue, “From Russia With Love” follows James Bond as he willingly falls into an assassination plot involving a naive Russian beauty in order to retrieve a Soviet encryption device that was stolen by the organization Spectre.
