|📰 Arnold Schwarzenegger says immigrants need to act responsibly, ‘behave’ like guests

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger touted the “responsibility” immigrants have when they come to America during an interview Tuesday on “The View,” encouraging them to do things legally and behave like guests in the US.

“I just think the world of the great history that we have with immigrants in America, but the key thing also is at the same time, that we’ve got to do things legal,” he said. “That is the most important thing. You’ve got to do things legal, and those people that are doing illegal things in America, and they’re the foreigners, they are not smart, because, when you come to America, you’re a guest, and you have to behave like a guest, like when I go to someone’s house, and I’m a guest, then I will do everything I can, keep things clean and to make my bed and to do everything that is the right thing to do rather than committing a crime, or being abusive or something like that, so that doesn’t really work in this country,” Schwarzenegger said.

Schwarzenegger was pressed by the hosts on ICE’s presence in Los Angeles and on whether the National Guard would have been deployed if he was governor.

“You have a responsibility as an immigrant to give back to America and to pay back to America and go and do something for your community for no money whatsoever. Give something back to after-school programs, Special Olympics, or whatever it is, make this a better place,” the former California governor said.

The hosts pushed back on Schwarzenegger as Whoopi Goldberg insisted “90% of the people who come here are trying to do the right thing.”

“Immigrants are less likely to commit crimes in this country than actual American-born citizens,” co-host Sunny Hostin told Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger also called for immigration reform during the discussion and said both Democrats and Republicans needed to work together to pass it.

🏀 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander goes off again as Thunder rout Timberwolves to reach NBA Finals

OKLAHOMA CITY — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points, and the Oklahoma City Thunder routed the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-94 on Wednesday night to win the Western Conference finals series 4-1 and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2012.

Chet Holmgren had 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocks and Jalen Williams added 19 points and eight rebounds for the Thunder.

A fanbase that had suffered through the loss of Kevin Durant through free agency in 2016 and a rebuild that took the team near the bottom of the league’s standings just four years ago let loose in the fourth quarter when the Thunder sat their starters with 5:14 remaining and a 108-74 lead.

Oklahoma City will play the Indiana Pacers or Knicks in the finals. Indiana leads the Eastern Conference finals series 3-1 with Game 5 to be played in New York City on Thursday.

⚾️ Mark Vientos shows signs of potential Mets breakout with big blast

On a rough afternoon for the Mets, the best sign for the club was 2025 Mark Vientos unleashing a swing that reminded of 2024 Mark Vientos.

The third baseman/designated hitter was at his best last season — and throughout his rise in the minors — when he smacked balls the opposite way.

Which is just what he did in the third inning Wednesday, crushing a three-run homer over the wall in right field during what became a 9-4 loss to the White Sox at Citi Field.

“When I can get a high fastball like that and go the other way with authority,” Vientos said of reversing the 94-mph fastball from Shane Smith, “I’m in a good spot.”

Perhaps this will signify a breakthrough for Vientos, who was so consistent last season, but has been unable to stitch together the same kind of stretch of prolonged quality at-bats.

🏀 Knicks have no choice now but to make good on what they’ve been claiming all season

INDIANAPOLIS — They have told us all year, in word and in deed, that they expect to be at their best when desperation bleeds through the walls. That’s good. It’s good the Knicks feel that way. Because until further notice, there is nothing but desperation ahead for the Knicks. They made sure of that Tuesday night.

They were steamrolled by one of the all-time playoff performances you’ll ever see out of Tyrese Haliburton, whose father was welcomed back to Gainbridge Fieldhouse and treated to these numbers from his son: 32 points, 15 assists, 12 rebounds and zero turnovers. They were sabotaged by their

⚾️ Mets’ Jared Young belts first homer since 2023: ‘Great night at ballpark’

Since his last major league home run in September 2023, Jared Young went from the Cubs to the minor leagues with the Cardinals and all the way to the KBO in South Korea before spending the early part of this season with Triple-A Syracuse.

On Tuesday, he started his fourth straight game with the Mets and the left-handed hitter delivered.

He homered in the four-run outburst in the bottom of the first and added a double in the third in a 6-4 win over the White Sox at Citi Field.

“It was a great night at the ballpark,’’ said Young, who noted all four of his games have been wins for the Mets. “It felt great to contribute. When you get called up, you always want to make your presence felt.”

The 29-year-old with two major league home runs to his name prior to Tuesday did that against Chicago, with both of his extra-base hits coming against Jonathan Cannon.

When asked about the time between big league homers, Young said, “It felt that long.”

But he’s also appreciating the ride.

It’s the best thing in the world, so you’ve got to play your best to be here and have success,’’ Young said. “I’m glad to be back.”

His production came after Carlos Mendoza said that despite going hitless in his first three games in the lineup, he continued to like Young’s at-bats against right-handed pitching.

“He’s had professional at-bats and controls the strike zone,’’ Mendoza said. “He had two really good swings. He’s getting an opportunity back in the big leagues after a lot of grinding in the minors and overseas. We’re giving him a chance and he’s taking advantage of it. It’s good to see him get results.”

|📰 Baltimore rabbi pulls pistol on two assailants who tried to steal his car: report

A 62-year-old rabbi turned the tables on two punks who allegedly beat him up while trying to steal his car when he pulled out a pistol on the assailants and sent them running for the hills, according to a report.

Rabbi Emanuel Goldfeiz was taking out the garbage near his car at his North Baltimore condo — still in his religious garb after temple services on Saturday — when two masked men ambushed the unsuspecting holy man at around 11 p.m., according to Fox Baltimore.

They just came up and punched him in the face,” Baltimore City Councilman Isaac “Yitzy” Schliefer, who represents the district where Goldfeiz was assaulted, told the outlet.

The two d***y suspects snatched the rabbi’s car keys and attempted to drive off in the car — but they couldn’t figure out how to start the vehicle, the outlet stated, citing the Baltimore Police Department.

🏀 Knicks’ season on the brink after defensive disaster in Game 4 loss to Pacers

INDIANAPOLIS – The perimeter was wide open. The paint was even less congested.

There was zero resistance.

Defense? Not from the Knicks. Not Tuesday night. This closer resembled the Mike D’Antoni Knicks than the Tom Thibodeau version.

The team that likes to say it is at its best when its best was needed, failed to bring the required desperation. Tyrese Haliburton torched the Knicks and so did his teammates in a 130-121 shellacking that moved Indiana to within one game of the NBA Finals.

The new starting lineup couldn’t get stops. Neither could the reserves. Another miracle comeback wasn’t in the cards, not with the Knicks committing 17 turnovers, five by Josh Hart.

Mikal Bridges was a no-show until it was too late. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns combined for 55 points, but both were turnstiles defensively. OG Anunoby didn’t make enough of a difference

The Pacers shot 51.1 percent from the field. They piled up 50 points in the paint. They had 22 points in transition. The Knicks had no answers.

Trailing by 15 early in the fourth quarter, they made it a game late, getting within six on multiple occasions. But the key to any successful comeback, getting stops, was nowhere to be found.

With 46.1 seconds to go, Obi Toppin, the former Knick, iced it with Indiana’s 13th and final 3-pointer, yet another shot when a Knick wasn’t close to a Pacer.

Now, the Knicks need to reel off three straight wins to advance against a team that hasn’t lost two in a row the entire postseason. The odds are long, especially with how Thibodeau’s team has defended in this series.

|📰 Teens attack 2 girls with bat, shave 16-year-old’s head in NYC park assault: ‘Vile and inhumane’

A group of teens brutally beat two girls in a Queens park with a baseball bat — and even shaved the head of one of the victims in a horrific caught on video attack that a relative said was like an attempted “execution,” The Post has learned.

The 13- and 16-year-old friends were playing basketball in Flushing’s Kissena Park around 6 p.m. on May 2 when a group of older kids approached and began an argument.

At least four 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old dragged the girls to a wooded trail and ruthlessly whacked them with the bat, according to police and video clips of the incident posted to social media.

One of the tormenters allegedly shaved part of the 16-year-old’s head with a portable hair clipper, and the mob fled with her cell phone and the younger girl’s $558 limited edition Air Jordan 4 White Oreos, leaving the victims bruised and swollen, police said.

A brute in a black and red hooded sweatshirt could be seen whaling on the 13-year-old with the bat as she lay on the ground curled into a ball, according to disturbing video posted last week on Instagram by the advocacy group Asians With Attitudes (AWA).

He then ripped off her sneakers and pummeled her again.
