START YOUR ENGINES - Those who know me well, know that I love auto racing, both behind the wheel and as a spectator. I am a proud NASCAR fan.
I also enjoy supporting young people in achieving their dreams, specifically those who refuse to stick to the script and have the courage and confidence to set their own direction, to be inherently different regardless of “what the other parents and kids say.”
So when I was given the opportunity to sponsor Madison, a local racer in my town, also known as “Mad Madi” amongst her competitors at the track, I knew this was something I needed and wanted to do. I approached my friend Tom Kiley, my partner in our record label, “Vinyl Records” about the idea. His response was immediate. No thinking it over. “Let’s do it!” So we did.
We hope to see Madi someday become the first woman to take the checkered flag at the Daytona 500. In the meantime, this 6 year old incredible young girl is learning a great deal about life, responsibility, commitment, having no fear, competition and a whole lot more. Her parents Stephanie Marie Teri-Kilkenny and Jamie Kilzone Kilkenny are incredible people, who inspired me today with their love and support of their three wonderful children.
