I miss all the family and friends, that are in heaven, that even though gone, are still with me every day, in my heart.
Thanksgiving has a way of bringing both warmth and ache to the heart. As the fire glows and the home fills with quiet comfort, there’s someone missing — someone whose presence used to make this season feel complete. Their chair may be empty, but their memory fills the room in a way only love can.
The truth is, missing them doesn’t get easier just because the calendar turns or the holidays arrive. The laughter they shared, the hugs they gave, and the wisdom they left behind continue to echo through the years. Even though Heaven holds them now, the love we shared refuses to fade. It stays, steady and gentle, reminding us that some connections never end.
So this Thanksgiving, I hold them close in spirit — in the soft glow of the candlelight, in the quiet moments when my heart drifts toward yesterday, and in the gratitude that comes from having loved someone so deeply. Missing them hurts, but remembering them is a blessing I’ll always be thankful for.
Their absence is heavy, but their love is forever. And because of that, they’ll always have a home in my heart.
