🎨 For 24 years, Mannington Floors has hosted the "Art is Cool" program, recognizing and rewarding the talent of Salem County, N.J., high school students and encouraging them to pursue their artistic endeavors.

🎨 Salem County high school art teachers were invited to submit their students' entries in a variety of mediums, which over the years has grown to include sculpture, photography, computer art, painting and drawing. Entries were juried by Mannington's Residential Styling team with first and second place winners in each grade level receiving gift cards.

WIFI Women in the Floorcovering Industry has awarded more than $41,000 in scholarships to 14 women across the flooring industry pursuing education and career growth opportunities, furthering WIFI’s mission to attract, educate and empower women in flooring.

📜 The 2026 WIFI scholarship recipients are:
• Melissa Baker, Corlew & Perry Inc., Tennessee, is completing the hard surfaces and carpet flooring inspector class through Certified Flooring Installers.
• Ananda Botello, FlorTech, Florida, is pursuing her Project Management Professional certification through Project Management Academy.
• Misty Foster, Shaw Industries Group Inc., Georgia, is working toward a bachelor’s degree in logistics and supply chain management at Georgia Highlands College.
• Corinne Gilbert, Gilbert’s Carpets Plus Color Tile, Michigan, is completing the accounting and administrative assistant professional program at Mid Michigan College.
• Ashley Luna, RL Flooring Inc., California, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at San Diego State University.
• Ashley Pinnell, Pinnell’s Carpet One Floor & Home, California, is participating in the Emerging Leaders Academy through CCA Global Partners.

• Sam Robinson, Ultimate Flooring, Ohio, is completing the SEAL leadership development certification program through the World Floor Covering Association.
• Melissa Rodriguez, Noble Floors, California, is completing an interior design course through the New York Institute of Art & Design.
• Mykenzie Stuhrenberg, Jims Carpet One Floor & Home, Iowa, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in interior design at Iowa State University.

✨ Bloomingdale's NYC Flagship Renovation Reimagines Iconic Retail Details in Wood with Custom PID Floors ✨

One of the most iconic flooring patterns in the world is now reimagined in wood with Custom PID Floors. 🪵 A New York City luxury retail institution since 1886, the iconic Bloomingdale’s flagship, located at 59th and Lexington in Manhattan, is undergoing an ambitious renovation and revitalization, catalyzed by the vision “Dream Big.” Integral to the design for this next golden age of Bloomingdale’s was reimagining the look and feel of the New York City flagship’s historic black and white tiles. 🏁

PID Floors was tasked with the work of reinterpreting these iconic tiles using the warm and inviting material of wood that would seamlessly coexist with the new visual storytelling, architectural storytelling, immersive retail concepts and impeccable aesthetics. This approach to luxury retail flooring reflects an elevated customer experience through the prism of experiential interior design.

For almost three decades now, DOMOTEXasia/CHINAFLOOR has established itself as a meeting point for the global floor covering industry. This year’s edition, which is welcoming some 1,500 exhibitors and more than 80,000 total visitors, while spanning some 210,000 square meters of exhibition space, continues to highlight the latest innovations. Key technologies this year are focused on embossing and pressed bevels, easy installation of unique patterns as well as accessories like stair treads that create the cohesive designs end users are looking for.
