Spotlight on!

BTFC Member Breanna Hogan O’Conner is a screenwriter, producer, and entertainment publicist. An HBCU graduate from Howard University, Breanna is an alumna of the Television Academy’s prestigious internship program, which brought her to Los Angeles and kicked off her career in publicity. Much like Ava DuVernay, Breanna leveraged her experience as an accomplished publicist into a career as a multi-hyphenate filmmaker. While juggling the demands of a full-time publicist, Breanna secretly studied screenwriting and made her debut as a screenwriter with original dramedy series À LA CARTE, which she sold to AMC Network’s ALLBLK in 2021. The show’s first season is currently streaming on and season 2 is set to premiere later this year.

Earlier this year, Breanna joined forces with her husband to start IMAGINARIUM CREATIVE AGENCY, a full-service creative agency/production company hybrid that specializes in making high quality and creative content from a cultural lens. Their capabilities are cross functional and span across mediums in TV/Film, Branded + Commercial content, Experiential, and more. From conception to completion, their mission is to tell stories that represent, advocate, and elevate minority and marginalized communities and voices.
