In January 2024, Deobra Redden shocked the courtroom by vaulting over the judge's bench and attacking Nevada Judge Mary Kay Holthus during his sentencing hearing. The violent assault was caught on camera and quickly went viral.
He later pleaded guilty but mentally ill to multiple charges, including attempted murder. In December 2024, he was sentenced to **26 to 65 years in prison**.

A North Carolina woman has been indicted in the d*ath of her father after a new grand jury reviewed the case months after an earlier panel declined to bring charges.
According to court records, 20-year-old Maleigha Loale Allen was indicted on one count of first-degree mur**r in connection with the April 2026 d*ath of her father, 44-year-old Michael Steven Allen.
The case had taken a turn in May when a grand jury declined to indict Allen. However, because North Carolina grand juries rotate every six months, prosecutors were able to present the case again to a newly selected grand jury, which voted to issue the indictment.

Allen’s attorney maintains that she is innocent, stating that an indictment is not evidence of guilt but simply the legal process that allows the case to proceed to Superior Court.

Investigators allege that Michael Steven Allen’s k*lling was premeditated.
Allen was also recently charged with resisting a public official after police alleged she pulled away from officers who were trying to stop her from walking into traffic while int*xicated.

The case sparked major discussion online with allegations of ab*se involving Michael Allen, along with prior charges connected to him, leading many to believe Maleigha may have been acting to protect herself.
The case will now move forward through the court system.

15-year-old Suhib Yousef

was simply taking out the trash when his life was tragically cut short.

Police say surveillance video shows an SUV pulling up before Suhib was dragged down the road. He was later found with a fatal gunshot wound.
