Foyer/Entryway- blank slate!!
I haven’t had a foyer to decorate in 10 years and I don’t know where to start- please help! The area is 7’ x 10’ and has usable walls on both sides. I would like to incorporate a rug (we deal with snow a lot), and live plant(s). How big of a rug (it needs to be right at the door)? What other kind of decor?

EDIT: I took everyone’s advice and removed table from behind couch. Now the couch is off center to fireplace. Thoughts?

Hi everyone!
So we just moved into our new home recently and my husband and I are in a debate. I want to get a living room rug and he said no rug (his reason is he doesnt wanna hide the tile) but ive always thought a good rug can make or break a space and I think the space needs SOMETHING.
So what do you guys think? And if you are on team rug, what style rug would you think looks best with my decor? Thanks so much!!!

This is the first wall you see when you walk into my house. It’s always felt plain Jane and I want to do something but not sure what. I don’t want a sconce because it wouldn’t be symmetrical on the other side of the sliding glass door. I don’t want to do frames because right around the corner I have 6 and I feel adding more here will be too much. Thoughts? Ideas?

I need some help/opinions so I had a vision for this and ended up getting into my “own little world” lol while I was painting this and it is definitely starting to move away from the vision. I love the mural but now I’m not sure how to style the bathroom to go with it😭. The ceiling is clgoing to be dark brown wood plank flooring (kinda same color as the door and trim. And I planned on staining the vanity that dark brown color as well. 10000% need help with what shower curtain and rug but really open to any suggestions really.

What is not working with this bathroom? I plan to change the cabinet hardware, faucets and possibly mirrors to gold but...

What is not working with this bathroom? I plan to change the cabinet hardware, faucets and possibly mirrors to gold but the design of this room is really throwing me off. I just added the rug and don’t feel it works either. I’ll add a window treatment after I get the rest of it figured out. I feel the vanity chair looks too short also but it’s the right height for the vanity when i sit there I’m just stumped and feel I need to start from scratch. Help! Would a shower curtain change help? It doesn’t require a curtain but I like that a curtain keeps the heat in. Failed to mention shower tile is black.

I just had this beautiful blue marble countertop installed in my bathroom and I can’t decide on backsplash and tile. The cabinet is a naval blue and the flooring will be white with some gray and blue tones. I love the blue and white marble herringbone tile, but is it too busy with all the movement from the countertop? Other options are the white Thassos marble in hexagon or 3x12 white marble rectangles. I’m thinking of putting the blue/gray porcelain tile around the rest of the bathroom walls as the marble is just too expensive. I’m not sure how to transition from the marble tile to the porcelain as the porcelain is not as thick. If we use the marble down along the walls next to the vanity it’s going to be really tight to get the drawers open.
Update:
I added two more pictures of the rest of the bathroom. Everything is tore up and the bathtub and surround are being replaced with a pretty grey/blue Onyx material. Everything is a mess, but it’s just to show the layout. The green walls are just the color of the Sheetrock.

Please give me your honest opinions of this DIY accent wall. It is painted only in first coat so far in SW dried thyme, so there’s room to change it if needed.. but small window. We do have an area aboce famoly room fireplace in adjacent family room painted in same color. We could change it to the regular wall Or trim color as alternatives but we thought the green would be cool. Thoughts?!
Update-love how many responses! Thank you!!! So many mixed opinions though! The wood geometric design of course took time, so I would hate to take it down, plus someone said it- we want to modernize our traditional home and always loved these accent walls… does anyone think a different color would be better? My whole house is otherwise very simple with beige white black and now the green is tied in. Would you say leave the green, go darker green, or do the trim color of the doors/baseboards to perhaps make it more traditional?

I asked chatgpt to mock-up my kitchen with my cabinets painted white. I've always wanted a white kitchen and have been in my house for 7 years now, so I feel like I'd like to think about upgrading this in the near future. I think the hardware would need to be changed out but not sure about going with a dark bronze or maybe gold? I was worried about my countertops not working well with white - but I think it looks ok? Obviously the AI image misses some of the variations in the floor wood so it comes off looking a bit strange with how uniform it is.
Thoughts? I'm just nervous to bite the bullet because it seems like an irreversible decision lol. I do know my kitchen looks good how it is but I love a bright white airy kitchen and would love to have more of a french country vibe to it.
