🚨CHIEFS WIN 3RD SUPER BOWL IN FIVE YEARS!!!🚨

Congratulations to the The Kansas City Chiefs on winning their 4th Super Bowl in franchise history. The Chiefs walk off the 49ers on a game winning touchdown to Mecole Hardman for a final score of 25-22 in overtime, the first playoff game under the new overtime rules. It marks the third Super Bowl ring under the Mahomes-Andy Reid and Travis Kelce era. Patrick Mahomes has become the next generational quarterback. Mahomes also wins Super Bowl MVP for the third time by leading the game winning drive in OT!!!!

🚨NFL AWARDS NIGHT!!!🚨

Days before the 2023-24 Super Bowl between the Chiefs and 49ers, the NFL awards night recognized the best performances from this past regular season!!!

NFL MVP: Lamar Jackson wins his 2nd MVP award, beating out Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy. Jackson led the Ravens to an NFL best 13-4 while passing for 3,678 yards and 24 TDs while also rushing for 821 yards on the ground. It was great to see Lamar stay healthy this season en route to his second NFL MVP!!!

OPOY: Christian Mccaffrey- the San Francisco star running back is another guy that has finally stayed healthy this season and rolls into the Super Bowl in style taking home offensive player of the year!! Mccaffrey rushed for 1459 yards and 14 TDs on the ground while also catching 7 more TDs through the air!!!

DPOY: Myles Garrett wins this award after recording 14 sacks and 42 total tackles. He beats out Steelers star TJ Watt.

CPOY: Staying in Cleveland, Joe Flacco turned back the clock after spending the past two seasons on the Jets in which he looked like a shell of his old self, mostly due to the Jets lack of personnel around him. Signing with Cleveland mid season he helped steady the QB room for the Browns and led the team into the postseason. Overall Flacco passed for 1616 yards and 13 touchdowns in five games for Cleveland.

Coach of the year: It was an eventful night for the Browns whose head coach Kevin Stefanski earned coach of the year. The Browns overcame an incredible amount of adversity as they lost star running back Nick Chubb early in the season and were juggling the QB room with DeShaun Watson being unavailable due to injury for most of the year. Despite the loss of star power on offense at critical positions, the Browns finished 11-6 with a postseason appearance.

DROY: The Houston Texans magical season included a playoff win, and it came on the backs of two incredible rookies. Defensive lineman Will Anderson finished with 45 tackles and 7 sacks on a very impressive Texans defense.

OROY: The Texans sweep the rookie awards with QB CJ Stroud winning OROY. Stroud tossed for 4108 yards and 23 touchdowns!!

🚨RANGERS BEAT AVALANCHE IN OT!!🚨

In their first game since the all star break, the Rangers took down an Avalanche team that is second place in the Western conference!!! Artemi Panarin tied it at 1 in the third period before Alexis LaFreniere shot one past Colorado’s goaltender Alexandar Georgiev. Rangers goalie Jonathan Quick got an assist on the LaFreniere game winner!! Quick also made 31 incredible saves to propel the Rangers to victory. What a win over a great Colorado team!!!

SUPER BOWL MATCHUP SET!!!

The Kansas City Chiefs will look for back to back championships against a 49ers team looking for their 6th Super Bowl win in franchise history!!

AFC Championship: The Kansas City Chiefs rolled past the powerhouse Baltimore Ravens by a score of 17-10. The AFC title game was a game of mistakes, with Baltimore making several mistakes in the form of end zone turnovers and costly penalties, where as the Chiefs played a near perfect game as they were in control most of the game. Travis Kelce caught all 11 of his targets for 116 yards and Patrick Mahomes threw for 241 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Pacheco added 68 yards on the ground with a TD!! Patrick Mahomes continues his unprecedented run of success as he had reached the Super Bowl for the 4th time, as he looks for his 3rd Super Bowl ring.

NFC Title game: Down 24-7 at Halftime, the San Francisco 49ers never said die as they outscored the Lions 27-7 in the second half. The defense was stout in the second half for San Francisco as Brock Purdy and the offense came alive to complete an incredible comeback. San Francisco looks to avenge a 31-20 loss in Super Bowl 54 to the Chiefs.

Now Brock Purdy, Mr Irrelevant of the 2022 NFL Draft, leads his star studded offense that boasts stars such as Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk and Christian Mccaffrey into a battle against one of the best QB-TE duos in Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Not to mention this should be a battle of two great defenses. This should be a great matchup in Vegas!!!

🚨RANGERS RULE OUT CHYTIL FOR THE SEASON!!🚨

The New York Rangers have officially ruled out young center Filip Chytil for the remainder of the season. Chytil has not played since suffering a concussion against Carolina on November 2nd. The concussion was the 4th of Chytil’s career which of course is a huge concern for Chytil’s long term health off the ice. Chytil returned to the United States after rehabbing in his home in the Czech Republic and fell just two practices back with the Rangers. Whatever is next for Filip Chytil, I just hope he does the best for him and his long term health.

🚨RANGERS’ TROCHECK NAMED AN ALL STAR!!! 🚨

For the first time in his career Vincent Trocheck has been named an all star. Trocheck replaces Golden Knights star Jack Eichel en route to his first all star selection. For me, Trocheck has been the Rangers second best player this season behind Artemi Panarin. This season, playing on a line with Panarin and Alexis LaFreniere, Trocheck has compiled 15 goals and 29 assists for 44 points with a 62% face off win percentage. Congratulations to Vincent Trocheck on a great season so far and his first all star selection!!

Eagles center Jason Kelce hinted to teammates that he is retiring following the Eagles loss to the Buccaneers in the wildcard round. The 36 year old is a 6 time first team all pro and was a vital piece to the Eagles first franchise Super Bowl win in 2018. Kelce has hinted at retirement the last few years, but this time, he will retire. Congratulations to Jason Kelce on a terrific career. Get ready for the call from Canton in a few years!!

🚨WILDCARD WEEKEND SET🚨

Congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on winning the AFC East for a fourth straight season. The Bills won 5 straight to close out the year to jump from the 11 seed to the two seed, simply incredible.

As for the Wildcard matchups, I think the two that standout are the Dolphins and the Chiefs and Matthew Stafford and the Rams visiting the Detroit Lions. This should be an epic wildcard weekend!!!

JETS END LOSING STREAK TO PATRIOTS!!!

For the first time since 2015, the New York Jets have beaten the New England Patriots. The game meant absolutely nothing and both offenses couldn’t do anything outside of a big game for Breece Hall for the Jets. The game was 6-3 most of the game until the Jets pulled away with a field goal and a Breece Hall long touchdown. Hall finished with 37 rushes for 178 yards and a touchdown! Some Jets fans wanted to lose for the draft pick, but I’m happy to root for and get a long awaited win against the Patriots
