For a very long time in my fitness journey, I believed that eating “right” meant being very strict all the time.
No flexibility.. just plain white rice and chicken breast all the time..
What I’ve learned along the way is that
Our body doesn’t respond better because we’re harder on ourselves.
It responds when you treat it consistently.
Nutrition doesn’t have to be extreme in order work. Most days for me is very structured, meal preps, etc.. But some days aren’t and that’s perfectly normal and OKAY! Progress isn’t undone by a meal or by a sweet treat.. It’s undone by the cycle of guilt, restriction, and starting over!
Do I care about what I eat? Most definitely!
I also care about enjoying my favorite food, traveling, celebrating and living everyday life. Both matter. The goal was never control. It was sustainability.. Because a plan you can live with will always beat a perfect plan you can’t keep up. I found what works for me with my lifestyle and my activity levels.
Everyone is different, my advice is to find what works FOR YOU, because at the end of the day only you know your strengths and weaknesses, and how active you are weekly..So plan accordingly ❤️🫂
