A special post for a very special woman.
She has made my life special from the day she walked into it and given it more
meaning than I could ever imagine. With her in my life I have become a dog dad, a husband, a father to 2 boys & moved to Hawaii.
She has helped me discover and encourages me to engage in self healing practices & modalities. She knows I’m capable of more and calls me out on it when I don’t step up.
Shes an incredible mother who does everything she can for her children. And then does more. She hustles non stop. She’s fierce & passionate in every thing she does. She can embody masculinity but is definitely feminine in all the greatest ways. She drives me crazy in every way possible— the bad and the good. I definitely drive her nuts. There are times that I don’t deserve her. She’s bold & beautiful,
smart & sexy and definitely holds her own better in a bar fight than I do. She is the Bonnie to my Clyde. The Mallory to my Mickey. The Marge to my Homer. The Alabama to my Clarence.
I don’t show her or tell her nearly enough that I love her. But I do.
I love you . Thank you for being the woman that you are.

Back in late 2012-early 2013 -when I still lived in - Suzette & Karl met with me about DJing their wedding. They liked what they heard and I was their DJ and it was a pretty awesome time for everyone involved.
End of story right?
No.
Since then we’ve all been friends on Facebook & The Gram.
Ok that’s kinda typical —end of story right?
No.
Fast forward almost 9 years to a few weeks ago and Suzette & Karl message me to say they’re coming to Oahu and they want to link up & catch up.
So they show up at my condo the other day — their 2 beautiful kids in tow bearing gifts from Trader Joe’s (we don’t have TJ’s in Hawaii) along w some awesome mochi from .
We took the kids for a swim and talked about how life has been going and of course reminisced about their wedding. It was only a couple of hours but i really can’t describe how much this meant to me.
I say this a lot but I say it because I actually mean it—it’s always an honor being chosen/asked/selected to play a part in someone’s special celebration. It really is. Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations. Of course weddings. I truly consider it an honor & a privilege to do something that I love and get to share it with people on some of the biggest occasions of their lives.
When people that I’ve played for reach back out on their own — nearly a decade later —and go out of their way on their vacation just to come say hi — introduce me to their kids— and with gifts they packed and brought from home.
And then they posted up a pic of us on their IG story calling me the MVP of their wedding!!!!
I’m feeling a whole new level of humble & gratitude.
Thanks so much Suzette & Karl!!! Many more years of love, luck, health & happiness for you & your family!!! 🤙😎🤙🙏❤️And thanks for coming 5000 miles to stop by!!😜

The first conversation I had with these guys we talked for nearly 4 hours.
In the months that followed our phone calls would typically last at least 1 hour+. Music, food & restaurants, living on the mainland VS Hawaii, more music, what the vibe should be for each part of the reception, film and tv, hotels & travel. We talked about everything!
Brock & Adam’s 2 week anniversary is tonight—we talked for at least an hour again yesterday.
When you find the right people and vibe with them time just doesn’t matter.
Sad to hear they will be moving back to the mainland but definitely Wishing these two a whole lotta happy years together!!!
Big shout to the ladies of Tropical Moon Events] for the way they transformed into an atmosphere that felt like a chic downtown lounge and to the HAWAII FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER] crew for showing love and support!!! Can’t wait to see their pro pics & video!!!

It was 10 years ago today I had the privilege & pleasure to be the DJ for this awesome couple. Back then Mayra was half of one of the best wedding planning teams I’ve ever been blessed to work with — - Always A Bridesmaid. Having previously worked on so many weddings with and for her I was definitely honored to be her wedding DJ. (She had me play the engagement party too!)
