GARY
by Taylor Mac

🥧 Time for a Fooling 🥧

In GARY, maverick theater artist Taylor Mac’s singular world view intersects with Shakespeare’s first tragedy, Titus Andronicus. Set just after the blood-soaked conclusion of that sensationally gruesome tale, the years of battles are over, the country has been stolen by madmen, and there are casualties everywhere. And two very lowly servants are charged with cleaning up the bodies. It’s the year 400—but it feels like the end of the world.

Merry Christmas from DPS!🎄

Celebrate with a sequel to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, by Lauren Gunderson - Playwright and Margot Melcon, set two years after the novel ends, MISS BENNET: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY continues the story, only this time with bookish middle-sister Mary as its unlikely heroine. Mary is growing tired of her role as dutiful middle sister in the face of her siblings’ romantic escapades. When the family gathers for Christmas at Pemberley, an unexpected guest sparks Mary’s hopes for independence, an intellectual match, and possibly even love.

At home on Christmas Eve, Rachel is informed that her husband has hired a hitman to kill her, and she must flee for her life.

In this darkly comic fable, Rachel runs for her life and joins up with Lloyd Bophtelophti and Pootie beginning a series of picaresque escapades involving a game show, numerous psychiatrists and, eventually, an ill-fated reunion with her husband. In the end, Rachel is led more and more to ponder whether the modern world might not be a vast conspiracy designed to systematically undermine her own increasingly shaky sanity.

EUREKA DAY
by Jonathan Spector

The Eureka Day School in Berkeley, California, is a bastion of progressive ideals: representation, gender fluidity, political correctness. In weekly meetings Eureka Day’s five board members develop and update policy to preserve this culture of inclusivity, reaching decisions only by consensus. But when a mumps outbreak threatens the Eureka community, facts become subjective and every solution divisive, leaving the school’s leadership to confront the central question of our time: How do you build consensus when no one can agree on truth?

by Haleh Roshan

FREE FREE FREE FREE is based on the true story of the Diggers, an anarchist theater collective formed out of the San Francisco Mime Troupe; the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense and Students for a Democratic Society; and the rise of Asian American solidarity. Each group fights against capital and exploitation, fights for liberation, and envisions an America and a world beyond constant war, immeasurable poverty, and global hunger. But how the #$%! do we, they, we get from here to there? A Brechtian exploration of 1960s Bay Area anti-capitalists and their efforts at igniting a new American revolution, this is a play in perpetual struggle session with itself—but like, in a nice way!

VIVA MADAME DEFARGE! 🇫🇷🧶

In this grand retelling of "A Tale Of Two Cities," Dickens’ most infamous female steps into the spotlight. For centuries Madame Defarge has been read as a villainous creature waiting for her opportunity to exact revenge on an aristocratic family, regardless of which good people may become collateral. Wendy Kesselman has dared to ask: Who really is Therese Defarge, the woman whose fury catalyzed the best of times—and the worst of times? 🇫🇷🧶

In this exploration of the iconic feminist’s legacy, the first act tells her story, and the second invites the audience to share their own. GLORIA: A LIFE embodies Steinem’s philosophy that conversation is a catalyst for change as it celebrates one of the most inspiring women of our time.
