Henrietta returned to The Garden
the day after the Baker's Dozen finale to take a picture of Phish's future spot on Madison Square Garden's Walk of Fame. Funny/weird twist: the MSG security would not allow her to take a picture of Phish's plaque next to Billy Joel's! I'm not kidding - we even politely asked please. Everywhere else was fine for pictures, but they had strong feelings about the Piano Man's spot. The rivalry continues!

Inwood Ode

The day after it was over, a pale grey sky cast its pall and dripped a slow & steady rain on Inwood & its one and all, cooling, quieting a mind trying to embrace goodbye. To Nereda the Elder Queen, her stoop on Seaman her throne who told me, "Never, never force", the sign on her doors says "Hope". To the Fine Fare late night saint. [ 107 more words ]

We Are Who We Are – Not Yet.

Sun dial shows a fortnight's passed, yet onward spills the Gotham dream. "Land ho!" we shouted days ago and anchored on Edenic coast left the vessel, trekked ashore where we, gleeful, headed for the summit of which we were told of by our elders long ago that the view was long and light poured straight from yonder heaven's skies. We reached this mountain, still with time…

Frogs & Turtles & Bridges, Oh My! Henrietta Does Swindler’s Cove > Harlem River Park

Henrietta explored the nooks, crannies, and straightaways of the Harlem River by hiking through Swindler's Cove and the Harlem River Park. She got caught in the warm summer rain as she admired the views of the Bronx across the river and got to play with the frogs, turtles, and fish in the Swindler's Cove pond- yet another natural gem in upstate Manhattan!

Fun & Games at Tompkins Square Park

It was all fun and games for Henrietta at Tompkins Square Park in the East Village yesterday. In between naps in the shade and admiring the beautiful flowers within this quaint oasis, Henrietta played some ping pong on their outdoor table (!) and watched some people from the neighborhood play chess.
