I try and you decide ❤️❤️❤️. Before you buy another pair of pants…shop your own closet. 👀

I practically lived in black leggings through motherhood—and I know I’m not the only one. 😂 They got me through babies, errands, school runs and a million days when comfort won.

But the humble black legging deserves more credit.

Today I took the same basic pair and changed the layers, textures, shoes and proportions to make them feel like actual outfits again.

That’s a big part of what I want Tried & True Style to be: not just what can I buy? but what can I do with what I already own?

Can you guess which top is going back? 👀

My green satin skirt is back for another round of styling—and this time I pulled together four completely different looks using pieces from my closet.

Same skirt. Different textures, different shoes, completely different moods. 💚

But there’s a little twist…

One of these tops really surprised me—and not in a good way. It’s the same top, same seller and same size as another color I recently tried and loved, but the quality was completely different.

Sometimes the best pieces are the ones that look simple… until you get a little closer. 🖤✨

This black keyhole top has just enough sparkle to take it beyond a basic—and it’s one of those pieces I could see working with jeans just as easily as a skirt and heels.

The close-up tells the story on this one. 👀

Verdict: Worth the money. ✔️
