In effect, Trump's "religious liberty" rule allows healthcare providers to refuse treatment to LGBT folk, women who have had abortions, and people with HIV/AIDS.

UPDATE: Interesting tidbit from Jocelyn Samuels, former director under Obama of the office that issued the rule: HHS received just 10 religious liberty complaints during her tenure, but ~25,000 violations of civil rights. Discrimination against religious healthcare providers is extremely rare.

The rule was proposed in 2018.

Basically, Barr undermined two years' worth of Mueller's work. It seems clear to me—because Trump went on national television and said he fired Comey for "the Russia thing"—that he obstructed justice. Mueller just intended to pass the ball to Congress.

The special counsel laid out his objections in a letter to the attorney general in March.

Statement from Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer’s offices:

“Attorney General Barr’s letter raises as many questions as it answers. The fact that Special Counsel Mueller’s report does not exonerate the president on a charge as serious as obstruction of justice demonstrates how urgent it is that the full report and underlying documentation be made public without any further delay. Given Mr. Barr’s public record of bias against the Special Counsel’s inquiry, he is not a neutral observer and is not in a position to make objective determinations about the report.

“And most obviously, for the president to say he is completely exonerated directly contradicts the words of Mr. Mueller and is not to be taken with any degree of credibility.

“Congress requires the full report and the underlying documents so that the Committees can proceed with their independent work, including oversight and legislating to address any issues the Mueller report may raise. The American people have a right to know.”

Predictions? I’d guess there was little evidence of direct collusion. But plenty of evidence of obstruction of justice...

The blind allegiance to Trump—especially from the fire-and-brimstone types who are always grousing about family values—despite his obvious moral turpitude.
