Asani Entertainment is a Pennsylvania based Limited Liability Company (LLC) engaged in the development and production of branded character based, original content for film, animation, television, videogames and comic books, primarily centered on a fully integrated, consistent meta-narrative of A New SuperHero Universe, The Asaniverse.

The Asaniverse will be socially relevant, speculative fiction, sophisticated, high-octane thrillers, equally science fiction, fantasy and character drama, set against an ongoing, eons old intergalactic conflict between warring extraterrestrial races, with an in-story history spanning a millennium, populated by a robust and diverse cast of protagonists reflective of actual society, inhabiting a realm steeped in mystery and political intrigue, depicting the real world ramifications of the existence of super beings.

The Asaniverse, will incorporate and reinvigorate the finest conventions of the Science Fiction, Spy-Fi and SuperHero traditions, as well as reinterpret the most positive aspects and subtypes of classic "Blaxploitation" films to include, action, adventure martial arts, horror, comedy, crime, coming of age and courtroom dramas.

However, the primary genre for The Asaniverse is AsaniSurreal;

The male name Asani is pronounced aa-SAA-Nee, Asani's language of origin is Swahili.

The name means 'Rebellious'

The Asaniverse will be socially relevant, speculative fiction, different stories, told differently, genre redefining, new genres for a new generation, refining, reinterpreting and reinvigorating the finest conventions of both the speculative fiction and superhero traditions, starring new characters for a new millennium, The Descendants of Asani.

August 22, 1791, under the leadership of Asani, the People of Color of Saint Domingue burned their huts to the ground, creating a wall of fire, so bright it could be seen from space, The Ceremony at The Bois Caiman, the catalyst to the uprising of the enslaved that marked the beginning of The Haitian Revolution.

Asani disappeared during the first three days of the revolution and was never seen in Haiti again. Asani lost consciousness after spotting an Unidentified Flying Object over the beaches of Saint Domingue on August 25, 1791.

Asani, awoke in Stonehenge, Wiltshire, England. Unable to return home Asani, a horse whisperer and stable master, secured employment as a Stagecoach Driver.

On December 13, 1795, Asani, the driver of the first stagecoach in Wold Newton Yorkshire, England, saw a flaming stone descending from the heavens only twenty yards away.

The impact of the blinding light and extreme heat, were insignificant next to the effect of the meteorite’s ionized radiation that alters Asani and his future offspring in ways none of them can comprehend.

Asani, wasn’t the only witness to this astronomical event; behind the second stagecoach, a Marshall and his party escorted highwayman, Walter Alberts and his partner, Joseph Jarcke, each members of an ageless secret order, Omertà, on separate horsebacks to stand trial for their crimes, were also exposed and forever mutated.

Because he was on the outside of the closest stagecoach, Asani received the greatest exposure.

Two centuries later, the descendants of Asani and Omertà find themselves locked in a struggle. However, Asani’s descendants are unaware of it.

Omerta operatives, descendants of Alberts and Jarcke, using powers derived from their mutations, are planning a series of simultaneous assassinations across the globe eliminating any obstacles to their ambitions. Their targets, the progeny of Asani.

As Asani’s heirs are swept into the events, nine of them will emerge as the Global Protectors, the Omari Corps, nine others will confront Omerta directly, becoming Earth’s Last Line of Defense, the Omega Corps.

Entwined in the narrative, the actions of Opaque, a clandestine organization whose motives, methods and membership are unclear, that has aided and opposed both the Asani and Omertà lines.

The Descendants of Asani, heroes of every hue, will reflect the diversity of the human experience, with differing and conflicting political and social views, they will even differ in their views on the nature of heroism.

The Descendants of Asani, will interact with a diverse supporting cast, where each ethnicity will find non stereotypical representation.

The Descendants of Asani, will each inhabit their own unique and fully developed galaxies, with individual origin stories, themes, supporting casts, love interests and rouges’ galleries, yet they will coexist as part of a greater tapestry and share characters and events.

The Asaniverse will be socially relevant, speculative fiction, different stories, told differently, genre redefining, new genres for a new generation, refining, reinterpreting and reinvigorating the finest conventions of both the speculative fiction and superhero traditions, set against an ongoing, eons old intergalactic conflict between warring extraterrestrial races, starring a diverse cast of protagonists, reflective of actual society, new characters for a new millennium, The Descendants of Asani.

“Origins of The Asaniverse” Asani Entertainment’s first feature length production, will illustrate how the Asani and Omerta lines become intertwined as eighteen, seemingly ordinary, people discover their vast powers and abilities as they grow into the heroes and heroines who become a benevolent global force in defense of humanity’s freedom, free will, peace and justice, combating a malevolent ancient organization bent on world domination through the enforcement of order.
