While there are other upcoming events featuring "Dad's New Roommate", this weekend is all about these two.

Sunday, Sept 15th, Art is Alive Film Festival , 6:15pm at the Producer's Club, 358 West 44th Street New York, NY 10036

Monday, Sept 16th, AMAZING FANTASY FEST 2024 , Dipson Theatre Amherst

I will be in Buffalo this weekend for Amazing Fantasy Fest to sign autographs, walk red carpets, be surrounded by beautiful women, and to see Ty Cheman's new film "Slasher Days of Summer", and then heading back to (hopefully) make the AIAFF screening in midtown Manhattan.

Sadly, due to my ACTUAL life of counting rich people's money, I cannot be in Buffalo also for Monday night's screening. 😕 But it seems like it's going to be a great night of fun films!

The Shawna Shea Film Festival Official Selections were announced today.

And although our leading ladies might look a tad pensive here, I can assure you that we are all thrilled to have Dad's New Roommate be among those films selected to play there!

I will showcase one more film before the festival: Simon Öster's "Lost In The Sky". This absolutely stunning work took him SIX years to complete. And it looks like CG, but none of it is, even the cosmos.... it's all practically filmed. Every. Single. Part.

Director Statement:

"Lost in the Sky follows the story of a robot who dreams of achieving his calling, and the sacrifices he must make to get there. The robot's journey is similar to my own experience of making this film. I have spent six years working on it, sometimes at the expense of my own health. I have often questioned whether the sacrifices I have made were worth it. However, the robot's determination to achieve his dream ultimately affects another human's life in a profound way. I don't provide a definitive answer if it's worth it or not, but I hope that the film will touch viewers and inspire other filmmakers, and that they may find their own answers within themselves."
