🍛Indian Butter Chicken
🧄 Ingredients:
500g boneless chicken (cut in cubes)
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garam masala (or curry)
Salt to taste
2 tbsp butter
1 onion (finely chopped)
1 cup tomato puree
1/2 cup heavy cream (or cooking cream)
Fresh coriander (for garnish)
🍳 Instructions:
1. Marinate chicken:
In a bowl, mix yogurt, garlic, ginger, turmeric, chili, garam masala, and salt. Add chicken and marinate for 1 hour (or overnight if possible).
2. Cook chicken:
In a pan, melt 1 tbsp butter. Sear chicken until golden. Remove and set aside.
3. Make sauce:
In the same pan, add the other 1 tbsp butter, sauté onions until soft. Add tomato puree, cook 5 min. Then add cream and stir.
4. Combine:
Add chicken to the sauce, simmer for 10–15 min until tender.
5. Serve:
Garnish with coriander. Serve hot with basmati rice or naan bread.
