A street-straddling #bus which allows #traffic to pass underneath is undergoing road tests in Qinhuangdao, #Hebei Province, China.

The #electric #TEB-1, or Transit Elevated Bus, runs on #solar power.

The 22 meters long, 7.8 meters wide and 4.8 meters tall body carries up to 300 passengers, with about two meters of clearance for traffic to pass underneath.

Designers hope it will be a solution to China’s chronic traffic problems.
