Today we honor Juneteenth and the significance of this day.
Graphic designer Arielle Wilkins of Brothas N Sistas drew inspiration for this beautiful illustration from her experience learning about Black history when she was a child.
"As a youth, my parents made me very aware of my culture and it sparked my curiosity," Arielle said. She wanted to keep learning—just like the young girl in this illustration.
"Since there's so much to know, she uses her braids to mark different points as she goes through this wonderful labyrinth of historic culture." ✨🎨
