Since childhood, my grandmother, Grace, had been the closest person to me. My mom was too busy running away from man to man, and my elder sister was treating me like I didn't exist. Grandma saw it and couldn't stand it. When I was 6 years old he took me in and became my whole world.
She was present at every school presentation and every football game, raised money for my education and was always willing to listen.
When my grandma passed away, I felt like I lost a piece of myself. He was 26 years old, but at his funeral I couldn't hold back the tears.
But the real shock came during the reading of his will. The notary announced: The house was for my mother, the car for my sister and for me, her beloved grandson - just an envelope with a note inside. "For you, Tom, our picture in a frame." The one at the zoo, when you were 8 years old. I love you. "Grandmother," said the short message.
I was left paralyzed, unable to understand why the woman who raised me had left me with this.
My mother and sister were smiling, sure they got everything and I got nothing.
The next day, I came back to Grandma's, where my mom was already sorting things out, getting ready to sell the property. Without saying a word, I walked up to the wall where I hung the picture - Grandma and I at the zoo, smiling and happy. With tears in my eyes, I took it off.
When I returned to the apartment I had rented, I noticed that there was a crack in the outer part of the frame. I decided to put the photo in a nicer frame that I had just received as a birthday gift from a colleague. But when I disassembled the old frame, my eyes were on the inside of the back cover. I'm left speechless.
“Oh my God!” ", thought. "My grandmother was very wise!" " ⬇️
