It is indeed discouraging to have lost both time and property in the storms of life, yet WE COUNT OUR BLESSINGS and kept counting till we lost count. God has been so good to us - in the presence of our enemies.

THE ISSUE: In Christ, we become both Abraham and Melchizedek.

THE PROTEST: How did we become high priest? Only Jesus is the 'great' high priest who offer himself as a sacrifice for our sins once and for all. Scriptures says we are kings and priest unto our God. We are a royal priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifice unto God. Not high priest sir. pls elaborate sir?

THE RETORT: I won't be going through each of your questions from post to post, If you do not understand it, leave it. A time will come that you will understand it. But it is not for nothing that Jesus said "I am in you, you are in me. We are one"'. If you think it is "robbery" to be "joined" with Christ, pray more that God might show you the mystery of Philippians 2: 5 - 6 and let that mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus who did not consider it robbery to be equal with God. God bless you, sir.

THE QUESTION: Can you elaborate sir? how did we become Melchizedek?

THE ANSWER: Thank you. As we walk through the scriptures, we see symbolisms of the Christ. Abraham is one image of the Christ, Melchizedek is another image of the Christ.

Abraham obtained righteousness by faith. In other words, even though he had been religious and God fearing all his life, he became "born again" at almost 100 years old.

Being born again is the "Nursery 1" stage of Christianity, when you believe and get clothed with God's righteousness. Abraham was the first person ever to be enrolled in that class and he is therefore the "father" of everyone who gets enrolled in that class.

But our transformation into the fullness of the stature of Christ does not end at "Abraham's class" i.e. "Nursery 1" or being born again.

Our transformation takes us through various states. In fact, along the line, we also become David and grow a heart after God's heart.

The Melchizedek class is the "high priest class". Melchizedek means "King of Righteousness, King of Peace". He is both the King and the Priest. At that, we EXPERIENCE "the royal priesthood" that the scriptures ascribed to us.

THE TEXTS:
Philippians 2: 5 - 6: Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Philippians 2:5‭-‬6 KJV

Ephesians 4: 13:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Ephesians 4:13 KJV

2nd Corinthians 3: 18:
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV

THE REJOINDER: There is a measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. That is the perfect image and likeness of God set before us, into which we yearn and labour everyday that we might grow into.

We must beware of supercilious Christianity - the notion that we are better Christians than our neighbors.

"For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends." (2 Corinthians 10: 18, ESV)

FOCUS. That's all it takes. When people LOOK at the same thing, they SEE different things. When people SEE the same thing, they OBSERVE different things. Empower your focus. It will take you far.

Angels and Demons: in our very brief words and actions, we do not often realize that we invariably play the roles of angels or demons. Everyday. Which were you today?

Richard Dawkings wrote: "The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully."

But I know that the Bible is like a plant . . . the fruits that were hard and bitter when the plant was young and green are the very same fruits that are soft and sweet at the ripening. The mystery of life is sealed in bitter green fruits turning red and sweet before our very eyes.

It is a review of Worship That Pleases God in The Baptist Standard newspaper (www.baptiststandard.com). The reviewer, Dr. Bob Garrett from Dallas Baptist University, wrote:

"Worship That Pleases God will bless and enrich worship leaders, pastors, seminary students and other students of Scripture who aspire to align their worship of God to fall in line with clear biblical teaching. The organization of the book follows exegetically the sequence of the Bible, with helpful commentary on relevant texts to the theme of worship. Years of faithful service as a missionary to Uruguay and the mature insight of a cautious and judicious student of Scripture support the author’s conclusions."

Printed this out from http://christianbooknotes.com/tag/temitope-oyetomi/ - It's a review of Does God Truly Exist?.

The reviewer concluded:
"This is the second book I have been privileged to review from the people at Baal Hamon Publishers. In both cases, I have been pleasantly pleased with the scholarly yet practical theological approach to the thesis of each book. I am starting to see that Baal Hamon expects a very high standard from their authors and that anything that comes from their warehouse will be well worth your time reading.

Does God Truly Exist? is one of those hidden gems on a bookshelf that I praise God He allowed me to discover. This book would be a great addition to anyone’s library who wants to know deep, systematic theology and how to apply it to your everyday life—again, something many of us could use".

Christmas Ponderings is a collection of twelve Christmas stories told through the eyes of common ordinary people. These stories will help us to meditate on Jesus who was born Immanuel, God with us. These stories can be used as dramatic, first-person portrayals used at Christmas worship services, special events, and other occasions. Rev. Pedersen has used these stories for Christmas Eve., worship service meditations. As we receive Jesus Christ, we are reborn children of God. It is by the Holy Spirit that we experience Jesus in our common ordinary lives. Rev. Pedersen has integrated the Christmas stories, Biblical context, theological perspectives, and common ordinary life experiences in writing these stories.

Rev. Jeffrey P. Pedersen has been a pastor for more than 20 years and has a Doctor of Ministry degree. He has earned degrees from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota; Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota; and Colorado Theological Seminary, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Rev. Pedersen is also the author of the books Endless Running, River Reflections, and Cross-Winter Skiing. Many people actually question us when we tell them our name is "Baal Hamon". But no, "Baal Hamon" has nothing to do with the worship of Baal. The Bible verse Songs of Solomon 8: 11 is the key to our name. The literal meaning of the word "Baal" is "ruler", "master" or "lord". "Baal Hamon" means "ruler of a multitude" or "place of a multitude".

This is our place - the place of a multitude - and here we are in charge of a flourishing vineyard. The vineyard is Christ's, and we are only vinedressers. . . .
