Where do we failed?

Africa, where do we failed?
Failure itself isn't bad,
But not understanding where we failed, is really bad. That's why we have been behind, from hindsight, not seeing the light, that it isn't right to still be behind for all these years because we been failed to realize where we failed.

Africa, where do we failed?

We failed in leadership, branded as black ships to the eyes of the West, who always wish us the worse, so they can make their best bait out of us. We fell into their baits to loot our continent's wealth and left us fighting for what is left.

Africa, where do we failed?

We failed in unity and love of the continent.
Corruptions become our way of life, aided by Nepotism and Tribalism became the father of all, yet we call ourselves children of God while we are the problems to God for not taking care of our Civil Responsibility.

Africa, where do we failed?

We failed in all fronts and gain in no fronts.
Why? Be cause of our hearts, not clean enough to wish for well to one another, become brothers and sisters' keepers. Our eyes are set on one another's faults, instead of embracing one another's successes, for better or for worse.

NEW GAMBIA PLATFORM CORONA-VIRUS RELIEF AID organized by Momodou Sawaneh

As most of you are aware of the Corona-virus situation around the globe that has financially handicap our people in the Gambia who may never seen a stimulus package or some kind of assistance, we at New Gambia Platform and others suggest to setup GofundMe to assist the poor and needy people especially in the poor rural areas. People receiving these donations often would find it difficult to afford daily meals and or have no access to aid that are political motivated.

If we can feed a family of 50 or more providing them at least a bag of rice or gallon of oil or sugar during this Corona-virus outbreaks, that would make a difference. We would make sure funds are collected, wired and accounted for through proper and transparent channels that are verifiable.

Remember, as advocates to better peoples' lives on our platform, even as little as $20 contributions, would go a long way. Together, we can help these poor people who are in need, especially at this difficult time. Thank you for contributing!

RECENT OUTBACKS CORONAVIRUS & AWARENESS

The world today, no one is immune to a thing.

Looks like breakages of diseases like Coronavirus or Ebola are test of mankind.
That any diseases, anytime can emerged and crucified to claim thousands of lives.
To the point that our lives are on the line to survive the outback.

The world today, no one is immune to a thing.

In a situation where the diseases can even spread by droplets of fluids from the nose or mouth.
From the infected person
And the symptoms are mere cough, sneezing and running nose just like a flu from running cold. A mask wouldn't simply stop the spread.
It's wise to stay a distance away when interacting and to adapt routine handwashing with soap and hand sensitizer.

The world today, no one is immune to a thing.

Let's sensitize our community and love ones.
That there are lost ones accounted for
Who never saw this coming.
But became victims because they are old ages with lower immune systems and had other health issues.

The world today, no one is immune to a thing.

Let's our leaders and governments set fundings aside.
Instead of spending lavishly on things that don't matter much.
That our health and wellness matter most.
Especially in emergency outbreaks that need immediate medical researches and solutions.
With such fundings and preemptive approaches, we better of fighting diseases like Coronavirus to prevent widespread and provide cure.

Is Africa, the land that lacks opportunities or we the Africans lack the ideas and leaderships to take advantages of our opportunities?

Africa, isn't the land that lacks opportunities.
Africa is the real land with the opportunities.
Where other nations up-to-date steal our belongings and resources.
To make their well-beings and wellness.
Yet, we claim we lack the opportunities.
Indeed we lack the abilities to use what we have for growth!

What happens to our environmental gifts of nature?

We have gold, diamond and other rich mineral resources.
We have weathers that barely snow or suffer from dryness.
We have tropical rainforest with thick woods that make rubber, roofs and fences.
We have blue skies, with minimal polluted air that flows through our lungs,
Make us breathe through our viens of humility and modesty.
Yet we claim we lack the opportunities.
Instead, we lack the ideas and leaderships to turn these nature's gifts of our lands to opportunities.

What happens our individual skills and knowledge?

We're best in almost everything!
Either Africans or African desents score the best in major concentrated areas and perhaps pioneers or scholars.
We are the king of Pop, king of basketball, king of boxing, king of soccer, the first to invent lights, the best doctors, lawyers, scientists, best golfer and the list goes on.
But, collectively, we aren't the best in anything but divisive in everything!
Yet we claim Africa lacks opportunities while we busy suppressing the possibilities of abundance opportunities.

It's us who lacks the love, the aspirations and commitment to come together and lift one another up.

Can Africans claim lacks of opportunities or should we say we lacks the know-how and mindset for unity to turn what we have to multiple opportunities in job creations, technologies, medicine and other social infrastructures for advancements?

We the Africans yet lacks the skills and strength to manage our wealth and health because of corruptions, tribalism and nepotism.

Shouldn't we say, it's us the Africans who lack the abilities to turn our resources to useful wealth and health?

In summary, it's not Africa, that's poor
It's us the Africans that are mentally, physically and emotionally poor to make use of what we have and can acquire to level up with twenty-first century challenges.

You don't have to believe me, let's look around our surroundings.
Can we deny we lack oil, diamonds, coffee, bauxite, etc.? Can we deny we lack the talents, the environment and populations?

What we can deny is Africa lacks opportunities for us to use our natural resources to enrich ourselves.

EMPOWERMENT OF YOUTHS

Our youth are our hearts and minds of tomorrow
They need to be empowered!

What a trouble?
Youths have uncertain future
At least in Africa for where they belong
It has been generations of promises
That had never made it to the premises
We wonder when our youths would be certain, that there are in abundance of opportunities

We failed our youths
The government, businesses, private sectors and families, we all fail the youths

Now, they have nothing but the seas and boats ⛵
Where thousand have perrished
Why? In search of what could have been found in the soil, that's what is refered as wealth
It is their hearts desire for better and brighter living and that's where we certainly have failed them to attain

What could have be incentives for education
Incentives for work training
Incentives for small businesses
Had never been there, instead we loot our natural resources for the benefit of I
What an ugly future for the youths we are heading!

We sat down in our homes blindfolded of situations
Instead of creating jobs, investing in education, social infrastructure and health
We focus, what we got materialistically and what we can get beyond.

The time is not at our advantage, 60% of just Gambia's populations are youths, how about other African countries?
It's our challenges, not our silences, it's our focus, not our fear, it's our priority, not our inferiority to over the problems of our youth unemployments and restore youth empowerment!

My eyes are with tears
When I see ways we're treated
We're treated like nobody
We're treated with inferiority

My soul and heart blink
When I see us in such situation
Where our color are problems
It becomes our obstacles

Despite of dignities
Patience, love & purities
Caring, friendship, humanity
Sincerity, loyality and hardwork

We're treated as foreigners of lands
Secondclass citizens
Unintelligent and clueless
Haters, thieves and lazy

These are how others treat us
They think they are better
They think they are smarter
They use us and dump us

It's time to realize these facts
That we not only gifted
We are smarter & purer
Let's rise up, heal, unite & strive!

THOUGHTS OF THE DAY ON COMMONALITY:

Commonality, it's cold be a binder for people who don't usually agree on things.

Let me explain what this statement means by giving you a scenerio. Through out my encounter with mankind or womankind, I have seen people who don't seen eye to eye on issues or things, but just because these people have in common, an enemy or enemies they both hate, these people with that commonality will stick together for that reason or reasons.

Make no mistake, let these people who are now getting along, think they have undone the disengagements/disagreement among themselves just because of the common enemies they have that has superceded the difference among these folks.

Once that common enemy or enemies are out of pictures, these folks who don't see eye to eye would come back to their individual self and be as disengaging as they were.

Watch out to for commonalities among yourselves and don't let that make you think the person who share common enemy or enemies with you is your real guy. You would find out when that common enemy or enemies are not in the pictures.
