Not all river cruises are the same, and choosing the right one involves much more than deciding which river you want to sail. 🚢

The cruise line, ship, excursions, inclusions, stateroom, onboard atmosphere, and itinerary pace can make two cruises on the same river feel completely different.

That’s why I always tell travelers there really isn’t one “best” river cruise line.

The better question is:

**Which river cruise is the best fit for you?**

A few things I recommend comparing before booking:

• How structured or flexible you want your days to be
• What excursions are included
• The onboard atmosphere
• Stateroom size and balcony style
• Activity level and walking requirements
• What is and isn’t included in the fare
• Who you’re traveling with
