a few of my faves from saturday’s shoot:
- less complicated light set-up, but more ambitious for the aerialists as where the light placement was extremely intentional

the first and only time i had used this grid/softbox combo it was for a solo professional who ended up winded by the end of the shoot from having to constantly adjust placement on the apparatus and body parts that may have blocked the strobes.

these aerialists came super-prepared and ready to play - they all did their homework, especially Chloe Anne • Lifestyle who gets gold stars. ⭐️⭐️

i struggle with imposter syndrome every time, but I’m super proud of this project and grateful to the kind community at Aerial Studio in Queens, NY who makes it all possible for me branch out in a different creative outlet. Xxo

Happy Radio Day! 📻🎙️❤️
from the island, to CT, to the big city. it’s been 26 years and I’m lucky enough to have made a career out of something I’ve loved since I was old enough to speak.

some of these pictures are old, some are new, and some are from chapters that feel like a lifetime ago… but every one of them reminds me how much this crazy little medium has given me: family!

the people. the stories. the laughs.

in a world where everything is on-demand, radio is even more special because it’s happening with you, in real time. it’s companionship on your commute, a laugh when you need one, the song you didn’t know you needed, and that feeling that someone’s right there with you

Chronic illness isn’t linear.

Fibromyalgia doesn’t mean every day looks the same. Some days my body asks me to rest. Some days it reminds me to slow down. And some days it lets me do things I once thought I’d lost forever.

As someone who’s neurodivergent, I’ve discovered that both aerial arts and BJJ do something really special for my brain. They’re physical puzzles. They demand focus, body awareness, problem-solving, and trust. For a little while, the constant mental noise gets quieter.
I’m still learning what this journey looks like, but I’m sharing it because I know so many people living with chronic illness feel like they have to choose between doing too much or doing nothing at all.

Maybe there’s another option: finding movement that meets you where you are.
