Take2 Publishing All that's fit to reprint

T2P is a specialist compilation publisher in the digital space. We add value to the hidden and lost written words. And not just for the readers, but for the writers and publishers alike. Whether fiction or non-fiction … whether science or humanities … whether news or current affairs … the 'compilation' has been a welcome publishing niche since the beginning of recorded history … bringing together a plethora of minds and writers to illuminate a distant subject. An 'editor' or 'curator' of the universe of ideas has always had a special place in the publishing pantheon. And in this third wave of publishing, in fact this tidal wave of words, an editor has never been so important. When you factor-in this current era of commercial Search Engine Optimization, we all know it can take hours to sort and sift through the potpourri of puerile results on every subject we're looking-for So, that's what we do … we pan for the nuggets of gold and shape and fashion them into the jewelry of literature. We do it, so you don't have to. We add value to the hidden and lost written words. And not just for the readers, but for the writers and publishers alike. Our publications will be available in all key e-book formats covering many subjects and categories. They will be made available on all online sales platforms as well as directly from our dedicated web-store that will be attached to this site in the very near future.

Bit disappointed with Fear Walking Dead. But wasn't sure what to expect. Will continue to check it out.

And the Winner Is 'Steven Spielberg to Direct a James Bond Film'

Why are the likes of Apple and Google allowed to have fun on April 1st ... but little guys like all of us just aren't allowed.

It's launch day for Take2 Publishing. The Take2 Guide to Steven Spielberg is available in all major eBook stores ... as well as our own dedicated store as well.

The general marketing is fine ... but we decided to have some fun on April Fools Day ... and lo and behold, 20 minutes before this Press Release was scheduled to be released ... PRWeb pulled the plug.

http://www.digiaction.com/11722860_PreviewRelease.pdf

It was a fun release. No one could have really taken it too seriously. I even added a direct reference to April Fools day.

But nooo ... last minute they pulled it.

It's hard being part of the 99%.

Hope to find everyone well.

Things are progressing smartly … and the January launch is looking good.

There are two things I'd really like to talk about at this juncture.

The first is Breaking Bad. Like many I've been in absolute awe at the series from day one. It's a one of a kind show where everything came together superbly; the ensemble cast; the dedication to a unique 'style', whether it be visual, audial or 'storytelling'; the narrative background; the central theme surrounding the descent of character; the emotional roller-coaster … just everything. I'll say it again … SUPERB.

Although I'm a fan of the concept of Twitter … how it has morphed from a simple service to the reshaping of a multitude of social phenomena … my few followers would recognize my fallow quiver of tweets. But it's only been after viewing the last few episodes of Breaking Bad that motivated me to tweet.

Yes, we'd like to start working on a Breaking Bad Guide. We've learned a lot from our Guides in development to Lost and The Sopranos, (Lost being close to completion) … and like Vince Gilligan having learned how to end a series in at least a satisfying manner from the missteps of the show runners of The Sopranos and Lost, we now know how to build a TV series Guide from scratch.

So, we're looking for an editor for The Take2 Guide to Breaking Bad.

The second thing I'd like to talk about is related to a comment made above. I'm absolutely intrigued by Facebook and Twitter. Although I haven't had the time to devote to being overly active on either platform … but the marketing gurus have earned their monthly keep by encouraging us to develop a Facebook and Twitter presence. Sure, I've always recognized how important these tools have been for marketing in today's crowded media space … and yes, we were always going to establish a presence administered by the marketers …

But I kibooshed that cynical idea. I now see Facebook and Twitter as essential elements to what we are doing at T2P. One of the key concepts that intrigued me while doing the research and finding your sites and blogs was reading through the comment threads of so many of the wonderful articles and posts. I've always been thinking to myself 'how could we incorporate the comment 'flows' into the books' … but the 'rights' issues are very unclear to the point of not being able to consider working with them. (My adamance at wanting to include the links to the original articles in the books is very related to wanting the 'readers' to be able to simply access the comment threads attached to each post'.) The other intriguing issue is that many of you have your own 'circles' of 'compatriots' and 'followers', many commenting on each others posts … and I've always been intrigued by the concept of overlapping and intersecting those circles. And wall'a, that's what Facebook and Twitter can do for all of us … as well as all the future consumers of Take2 products. We can overlap all the different circles … introduce each other to each other and 'comment' accordingly.

Therefore I've decided that all of our Facebook and Twitter activities will remain in-house … out of the grasp of the marketers. I tend to feel that if we can turn our Social Media activities into vibrant, informative and entertaining forums, then the marketing value will follow. ('Build it … and they will come').

I commit that at least once a week we will go through our Twitter feed and 'retweet' all the interesting tweets … as well as administer our Facebook presence to ensure that we can build and maintain these grand concentric circles of our community.
