Today, on Juneteenth, we are celebrating the opening of the new In This Place gallery at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. batwin + robin had the privilege of working with and to create a panoramic media program exploring the significance of Cincinnati’s place on the Ohio River to the Underground Railroad and connecting the activism of this historical movement to freedom struggles in the United States up through the present day. Our project partner created an interactive media table in the gallery exploring the same themes.

We are posting today in support of our dear colleague and friend, Russell Steward. Russell is facing an incredibly difficult challenge ahead after recently suffering a life-changing accident.

Russell is a loved member of our b+r family. He was our technical director and senior editor for over twenty years, supporting countless projects since the early years of the company.

We are sharing the GoFundMe page started by Russell’s daughter, Katie, in the hope that you might consider contributing to help Russell and his family as they face the considerable expenses that will go toward medical care, equipment, and home renovations.

On this International's Women's Day, we're taking a moment to highlight b+r's fearless female founders: Linda Batwin O'Donovan and Robin Silvestri. After starting b+r in 1991, they explored new ways of using media, breaking down barriers to become innovators in their field. Together, they created an incredible legacy of projects that continues today with Linda's ongoing leadership as owner & lead principal. Cheers to and celebrating the strength and resilience of women everywhere!

We are celebrating the opening this past weekend of The Kennedy Center’s Art & Ideals exhibition. b+r worked with KieranTimberlake, Pentagram, ISG Productions, The GreenEyl and the KC team to develop multimedia and interactive experiences that tell the story of Kennedy’s presidency through the lens of the arts. This immersive exhibit, including a 300 ft. LED video frieze, uses the latest digital technology and is driven by artistry - celebrating color and beautifully balancing text, artifacts, and media.
