Eternal Polk is a two-time Emmy-nominated director, writer, and segment producer with over 20 years of directing short and long-form projects including documentaries, music videos, branded content, & commercials. Intimate, nuanced, and intentional while placing subjects on a pedestal to display their humanity is how Eternal describes his directing style and mission. Eternal has served as a creative director participating in ideation and copywriting of client commercial and branded content spots, while earning Telly, Webby, Shorty, and Ooma awards. His work has been featured on HBO, FOX, ESPN, ABC, BET, VH1, and MTV. Gaining Ground: The Fight For Black Land is his first feature film as director and executive producer. He is also the recipient of numerous awards, including BEST TRAILER for Gaining Ground.

We are excited about the opportunity to share space with him during our 2024 Film Series.

When we introduce ourselves, the first statement that most people make is “I didn’t know Al Roker had a production company!”

He does....and we’ve been around for over 25 years!

Under Al’s guidance, Al Roker Entertainment (ARE) has become an industry-leading producer of original, award-winning TV programs and storytelling content. Al Roker knows TV, has 13 Emmy awards (among a truckload of many other accolades) and is a trusted multi-media authority. This certainly rubs off on the shows we (and he) produce! We partner with a litany of creative producers, directors, writers, visionaries, talent, brands, production companies, and distribution platforms to produce all forms of innovative content.

Now celebrating our second quarter of a century (!), we’ve produced a variety of breakthrough unscripted, scripted, branded and digital programming for a multitude of channels and platforms. Some of our marquee shows include the reality-based “DEA” program for Spike TV, “Kimberly’s Simply Southern” for Great American Country, "Celebrity Holiday Homes"​ for HGTV, the “Musial Awards” for CBS Sports and CBS Sports Net, and the Weather Channel hit “Coast Guard Alaska” and its popular spin offs, Coast Guard Florida and Coast Guard Cape Disappointment, all now airing (FREE!) on Pluto TV and Peacock from NBC.
