Happy Birthday to My Little Brother David,
I prayed for a brother for years, and then I got you. That was the first time I truly realized that praying works. From the moment you were born, I was captivated. I ran home from school every day just to see you, play with you, and take care of you—you were my baby too.
We did everything together until I turned 17 and got my driver’s license (life changed a bit then, didn’t it?). My little angel boy, so beautiful and wild, so full of fun, life, and adventure. I’ve always cherished our bond and only wish we could have been born closer in age. Even so, I treasure every moment I got to teach you, guide you, and watch you grow.
I hope you never forget our beautiful memories—like when I made Mom buy you that drum set because I wanted us to start a band (and I still do!). Most importantly, I am endlessly grateful to God for your strength and resilience. You survived cancer, and through that journey, we all learned patience, the power of unconditional love, family, and the undeniable strength of prayer.
No matter what anyone says or does—or doesn’t do—remember this: You are creative, fun, and intellectual in your own ways. I know it, and I see it in you. I wish you the most incredible year ahead, full of growth in every way: mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
You are strong, and you have what it takes to defy the odds. Learn from my mistakes if you can, and always remember that there are many sides to reality. It’s your truth that will define your world.
God bless you and your beautiful daughter. Have a happy and blessed birthday. I hope to see you soon.
With all my love,
Your sister,
Jenevieve
