Some traditions are older than our opinions.

You are free to follow a vegetarian Navratri. Millions do. You are equally free to follow centuries old Bengali Shakta traditions. Millions do that too.

Disagreement is part of Sanatan Dharma. Declaring an entire community “not Hindu” because they don't follow your regional custom is not.

Durga Puja in Bengal is not just worship. It is the homecoming of our daughter, our Mother, to her pitri-griha. We fast for pushpanjali, we observe ritual purity, and we celebrate with the food our families have preserved for generations.

Respect the diversity of traditions. Don't monopolize it.

This digital illustration took over 6 hours and 10,297 strokes to complete. I wanted to paint a quieter side of Mahadev. The moment where Lord Shiva sits in meditation beside Nandi, with the Ganga flowing behind him and the world becoming silent.
