Chote Rajma Recipe - Lal Chori Recipe
Dal While Pressure cooking
* 1 cup Dal
* 1 Tsp Haldi - Tumeric
* 2 to 3 cloves
* 1 black cardamom
* 1 inch cinnamon
* 1 small to medium tej patta (Indian bay leaf)
* Hing - pinch
* Salt as per taste
Tadka
* 2-3 green Chillies
* 1.5 onions puréed(medium sized)
* 1 teaspoon chopped green chilies puréed
* 4 teaspoons ginger garlic paste
* 3 large tomatoes puréed
* ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
* 2 Tbsp Dhaniya powder - Coriander for Tadka
* 1 Tbsp Garam Masala for Tadka
* 1/2 teaspoon crushed kasuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves) – optional
* 5-6 tablespoon butter
* red chili powder as per taste
* salt as required
Step by step Recipe
1. Wash and Dal for 8-10 hours.
2. Pressure cooking Daal along with spices mentioned above.
3. Now start making tadka by adding some ghee and splutter some jeera.
4. In a blender add onion and garlic and add the paste to jeera.
5. Once it turns brownish in color, add blended paste of tomatoes with ginger and let it all cook.
6. Now add in dhaniya powder, garam masala, Kasuri methi.
7. Make red chilli tadka with ghee and red chili powder and add it while serving.
8. Enjoy with Roti or Rice
