DJ Ones Why do I DJ? For me it's that moment when I'm behind my turntables & look out at the dance floor DJ services

One thing about this crowd… they were READY 😂

Monday wedding. About 50 people on the dance floor. Everybody sober. 😂

On paper, those aren’t exactly the ingredients people usually associate with a crazy party… but this night was SO much fun.

And honestly, moments like this mean a lot to me.

The bride and groom were incredibly sweet, they trusted me, their guests were all in, and hearing them come over at the end of the night just to say thank you was one of those little reminders of why I love doing this.

Also, little wedding planning tip:

If you’re ever looking for a DJ recommendation, ask your photographer or videographer.

They’re not just vendors who show up for an hour. They’re usually right there on or around the dance floor for the entire reception. They see who can actually read a room, who keeps people engaged, who works well with the other vendors, and who can create energy even when the circumstances aren’t “perfect.”

This wedding was proof that you don’t need 200 guests, an open bar, or a Saturday night to have an incredible dance floor.

You just need the right people, the right energy, and a couple that’s ready to have fun. ❤️

So grateful for these two. This one will always have a special place with me.

Play That Funky Music ➡️ Hot in Herre just felt WAY too right.

These are the moments I love most behind the decks. Get the whole room locked into something they know, then take them somewhere they weren’t expecting.

Did this transition work or nah? 👀🔥

Somebody’s grandpa just became Dominican for 11 seconds 😂🇩🇴

He may have absolutely NO idea what Chimbala is saying, but the beat came on and he said, “That’s my song.” 😭🔥

And honestly, this is what multicultural weddings are all about.

Different ages. Different cultures. Different languages. Same dance floor.

Sometimes you don’t need the translation. You just need the right song, the right people and a reason to make a memory.

This is what I love about weddings.

Good music. Good energy. People being themselves, being silly, loving who they love and just enjoying the moment.

And yes… sneaking Calabria underneath Fire Burning definitely made it a little more fun. 😂🔥

But at the end of the day, this is what the dance floor is supposed to be about.

Joy. Love. Celebration. Everybody feeling welcome to be exactly who they are.

More love. Less hate. Always. 🤍

Couples put so much pressure on their first dance.

What song should we pick? Should we choreograph it? What if we mess up? What if everyone is staring at us?

Here’s the thing…

Your first dance doesn’t have to be perfect.

Practice the spins. Learn the steps. Nail the dip if you can 😂

But more than anything, make sure it still feels like YOU.

Because years from now, you probably won’t remember whether every single step was perfect…

But you’ll definitely remember lassoing your wife across the dance floor. 😂🪢🤍

Those are the moments that make a wedding feel personal.

And that final dip and kiss? 10/10. 👏.

You won’t remember every little detail from your wedding day.

But being in the middle of a packed dance floor, surrounded by your favorite people, screaming, jumping, laughing and kissing the person you just married?

Yeah… you’re probably keeping that one. ❤️😂🔥

These are the moments we’re trying to create.

Not every wedding has 200 guests packed shoulder-to-shoulder on the dance floor.

Sometimes the crowd is smaller. Sometimes the energy comes in waves. And sometimes the best thing you can do as a DJ is stop trying to force a huge moment and just find the song that keeps the people who ARE there locked in.

“I Want It That Way” had them singing… then I took a little left turn into “Ayo.” 😂

Definitely not one of those songs I hear DJs reaching for at every wedding, but that’s part of the fun.

Read the room. Try something. Watch the reaction. Keep the vibe moving.

A packed dance floor looks great on Instagram.

Keeping a lighter dance floor engaged? That’s part of DJing too. 🎧

I thought we were having a nice little Whitney singalong…

Then “Yeah!” dropped and the entire dance floor switched personalities. 😂🔥

This was still early in the night, so the goal was not to rush the party or cater to only one age group. It was about riding the energy in the room, bringing everyone into the moment, and then hitting them with a wedding banger they could all recognize.

Sometimes the room wants to sing.

Sometimes it wants to completely lose its mind.

A great wedding dance floor is built by knowing when to do both.

Young, old, family and friends, everyone was celebrating together. Those are the moments people remember long after the wedding is over.

What song would make your entire family run to the dance floor?
