FURJ E-Board Application, 2018-2019

The Fordham Undergraduate Research Journal (FURJ) has extended its application deadline for students interested in joining next year's editorial board. Next year's editorial board will produce Volume IX of the Fordham Undergraduate Research Journal. This is a wonderful opportunity for those interested in learning more about and experiencing academia from a new perspective.

The selection process will consist of an application and interviews with finalist candidates. The application can be found here: https://goo.gl/forms/4JAn7S3qOqmP0go12. Responses are due by 11:59 p.m. on April 20, 2018. We have attached below a document containing descriptions of all the editorial board positions and their respective responsibilities. All editorial board positions are open for consideration. Though we strongly urge applicants to have prior experience working with FURJ as a general staff member, experience working with FURJ is not a necessity. FCLC students are highly encouraged to apply.

The Fordham Undergraduate Research Journal (FURJ) is currently accepting applications for positions on next year's editorial board. Next year's editorial board will produce Volume IX of the Fordham Undergraduate Research Journal. We are offering two submission periods: (1) January 22-26, 2018 for publication in print and (2) February 28-March 6, 2018 for publication online.

At the close of each academic year, Fordham University recognizes the hard work, originality, and collaboration of its students at the Undergraduate Research Symposium. This year marks the 10th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium, which will be presented on Wednesday, April 26. BRONX, NEW YORK – On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, the Fordham Undergraduate Research Journal (FURJ) will release its seventh installment during the Fordham Undergraduate Research Symposium, which will be held in the McGinley Center from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Signifying the Journal’s high-regard, nearly forty research submissions from undergraduates in the sciences, humanities, and social sciences were submitted to publication consideration, with seven selected for print after a rigorous, double-blind peer and faculty review process.

Fordham Professor Focuses on the Crusading Frontier

Dr. Nicholas Paul, author of Go Follow in their Footsteps: The Crusades and Family Memory in the High Middle Ages and winner of the 2016 Medieval Academy for America’s John Nicholas Brown Book Prize, is currently studying the crusading frontier in the Eastern Mediterranean.
