The United Nations Singers are delighted to present their first ever virtual choir video!
After more than 70 years of singing together week by week and performing live to an audience, the existing unprecedented pandemic led the UN Singers to think of different ways to continue delivering their inspiring mission; to spread the message of peace through the art of choral music.
It is now more than ever, in the face of these unparalleled times, that the UN Singers remain united, rehearsing remotely every week, maintaining their sense of purpose in friendship and humanity.
While not physically on stage, the UN Singers have gotten together virtually, performing Signore delle Cime (Lord of the Mountain Tops), a popular Italian song of prayer, written by Bepi De Marzi in 1958, at the age of 23. The song was dedicated to the author’s friend, Bepi Bertagnoli, who died in 1951 while climbing a mountain in Northern Italy.
The UN Singers express their profound gratitude to their followers and friends for accompanying them in this extraordinary journey. Enjoy the virtual performance and join the UN Singers, in a unison voice, to spread hope with the healing power that only music can give.
