Wanted to include a photo so this doesn’t get lost. But does anybody have an outdoor feeding station set up to give a field of horses grain? Something like partial small, walk in stalls so everybody has their own space? Trying to wrangle the chaos here and looking for ideas that don’t involve bringing everyone inside.
*I would not be doing something like this using just panels, so no need to express concerns about that. I'm just using it to look for more options and what is working for other people.

FYI …. To anyone buying land and creating spaces for horses….. if you are not replacing all existing ground (most can’t $$) buy a magnetic roller and go over the ground, go over more than once. You never know who dumped what where 🤦‍♀️

I want all your ideas for a DIY corner feeder for hay! My goal is to keep hay in one place in the stall, so it doesn't get trashed into the bedding. I want to avoid dealing with nets. I'd also prefer the feeder to be on the ground, so the horses can still eat with their heads relatively low.
I'm excited to see what everyone's got!! Picture is of the EasyUp corner hay feeder. I like it, but I think I can make something just as good for less money! Thank you!

What a smart idea. I see this from a lady on the horse site. She lives where it is super cold in the winter and so she goes and gets these used big tires, fills them with straw and sits the barrels down in them and then cuts them off. She states that if they do freeze over you wont get more then an inch of ice in them. They also stay cool in the summertime.

The bands didn’t stay on 24 hours in the pasture. 😔 They may have lasted long if my horses were kept in stalls.
I have a gelding that destroys ANY Shoo-fly type leg protectors. Today I decided to try the bug repellent bracelets for kids. In a matter of minutes the stomping stopped! It will be interesting to see how long they provide results and stay on. Yes, I’m aware the very slim chance of possible injury.

Hi. New to the group. Thought I would share this barn shed I built out of wooden pallets. (Walls and floor) then covered with OSB board on the inside. Metal roof, exterior walls have LP smart siding. It's a 10x10. I was thrilled with the way it turned out. I am 60 years old and I did it all by myself minus a little help putting on the metal. 😁

Here is a versatile design that we assembled. The containers were picked up for $1600, metal a-frame 12' and a little lumber and paint. One is dry storage... the other a woodworking shop.
