Ashé is a word of many meanings -- power, blessings, energy -- which turns up in many cultures, from Yoruban to Tibetan. ords was a pioneer in presenting music from Cuba, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. Well into the millennium our music continued to be in demand and our artists continue to be beloved by many.

For those unfamiliar, A2IM is the nonprofit trade organization representing 600+ indie record labels in the U.S. A2IM works to safeguard the value of independent music and advocate for its interests on a national policy level.

As a woman-owned, legacy independent record company we are very proud to be part of this community and have a strong desire to help to shape a vision for the future of independent music.
