Gregory Kissling, CEO of Breguet, is a watch industry veteran who has been instrumental in ushering the Maison through its monumental 250th anniversary and carrying forth the legacy of Louis-Abraham Breguet, the “Leonardo Di Vinci of Watchmaking.”

Upholding this legacy and advancing it is no small feat, but Kissling is up for the challenge.

We were fortunate enough to sit down with him to discuss his insights into the brand’s heritage, its capacity for innovation, and its ability to retain cultural relevance with the next generation of consumers, particularly in the U.S. market.

Learn how heritage and ambition forge the next chapter for Breguet:

Private jet card companies love to market the dream—mom and dad at the kid’s soccer game, Fluffy trotting up the jet stairs. But behind those glossy brochures lie contracts packed with fine print—often stretching dozens of pages—that actually govern how you fly.

Doug Gollan's company, Private Jet Card Comparisons, a buyer’s guide comparing over 80 providers and more than 900 programs by over 65 variables, has to update its database quite frequently to reflect ongoing changes.

So, let’s take a different approach and guide you to the programs that are best for specific missions. That goes to a point worth remembering: It’s not uncommon to belong to different programs for different needs.

Less than two years after researchers at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom warned that the world was nearing numerous climate tipping points, a report out Monday warns that one such “point of no return” has already been reached, with warm-water coral reefs “experiencing unprecedented dieback.”

The warming waters have caused widespread bleaching of coral reefs, which impacts the nearly a million species of marine animals and organisms that rely on them to support some of the planet’s most diverse ecosystems.

The report notes that the world is still headed toward other climate tipping points, namely the ”large-scale“ degradation of the Amazon rainforest, which is projected to ”weaken global climate regulation“ and accelerate biodiversity loss; the melting of mountain glaciers like Áakʼw Tá Hít in Alaska; and for the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), which regulates the climate by transporting warmer waters from the tropics to the northern Atlantic Ocean, whose likelihood of reaching a tipping point ”increases with global temperature“ rise.

But steps can be taken, and recent discussions at the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) show us how best to move forward.

For many RIA owners, succession planning is a conversation they know they’re going to have “someday.” But by the time many Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firms get serious about succession, they find themselves facing a number of common challenges, which in many cases can prove to be insurmountable.

Even firms that succeed at succession often experience challenges that can lead to eventual failure.

In this article by Marshberry, Tina Hohman outlines:
• Why Succession Planning Fails
• What a Successful Plan Requires
• The Hidden Benefit of Succession Planning
• Succession as a Strategy

Take a look at the full list of common mistakes firms make, and strategies that can lead to greater success:

“I’ve never seen it this bad.” Eddie LeJuine has been fishing and sh*****ng along the southwestern coast of Louisiana for about four decades.

But his life and livelihood have been upended in recent years by the proliferation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in the region—once the largest producer of seafood in the entire country.

The LNG activity has devastated the environment and polluted the water, leading to significant declines in catches for fishermen.

He’s seen his income from fishing and sh*****ng plummet to a quarter of what he was earning in 2019—from $175,000 before expenses down to about $40,000 before expenses. LeJuine said his homeowners insurance premium more than tripled in just three years, from $5,800 in 2021 to $19,000 in 2024. He was hit by skyrocketing property insurance rates due to the increasing severity of climate change-related disasters like hurricanes and coastal flooding.

Critics say that insurers are focused on the profits they make from their investments in the fossil fuel industry, more so than on managing and reducing climate risk.

For over 40 years, the David Yurman brand has been synonymous with sculptural elegance and an iconic cable design that is recognized from Madison Avenue to Tokyo.

But beneath the polish is the story of a family that turned creativity into a calling—and a business built on passion rather than pressure.

“We were artists first,” Yurman recalls. “We didn’t have a corporation behind us, no luxury house running our business. We did it as two artists.”

That spirit of self-reliance goes back to his teenage years mowing lawns in New Hyde Park to support his family. “I had four or five guys mowing lawns for me,” he laughs. “It taught me how to build something, how to deal with people. I guess I was an entrepreneur before I knew the word.”

This far out, there’s no such thing as municipal city water.

The afternoon desert sun beats down, hard, as we drive up the gravel road to Tom and Illene Wood’s reddish-brown adobe-style stucco house, nestled off-the-grid within the shrubs and mountains of the Sonoran Desert.

Like many residents of rural America, they dug a well. That 400-foot well cost them $10,000. But by 2011, the land had shifted, and they had to dig a new well to the tune of $15,000. Last year, that well ran dry. They’re now on their third well, a $130,000 hit to their retirement funds. Out here, alfalfa might run the aquifers dry.

In Arizona, 76% of water use goes toward agriculture. A 2020 study found 79% of Colorado river water goes to alfalfa, which in turn primarily goes to cattle farms, the most emissions-intensive form of animal farming.

The level of use has become unsustainable. Read the full report and real-life experiences of those effected by Alfalafa farming:
