🥀 Every artist knows the quiet ache of wondering whether their work is “good enough.”
We chase validation, approval, a sign that what we create matters — but the truth is, the act of creating is already an act of courage.
Henri Matisse said it best: “Creativity takes courage.”
Not perfection. Not praise. Courage.
Interesting fact: Later in his life, when illness made it impossible for him to paint the way he once did, Matisse reinvented his entire process. He created his iconic paper cut-outs from bed or a wheelchair, proving that creativity is not about conditions being ideal — it is about showing up anyway.
✨ If you are an artist, designer, maker, writer, or anyone who builds something from nothing: your work is valid. You are creating a world that did not exist before you touched it.
What is one creative risk you have been afraid to take… but might be ready to try?
