🇮🇱 - NEWS: Israel is set to perform the world’s first human spinal cord implant using a patient’s own cells, potentially enabling paralyzed people to walk again, Tel Aviv University announced today.

The surgery, set for the coming months, is a milestone in regenerative medicine. Over 15 million people globally have spinal cord injuries, per the WHO, mostly from trauma.

Current treatments stabilize and support patients, but no therapy fully restores spinal function yet.
