Microsoft signed a software-licensing contract worth approximately $125.4 million with the Israeli government in 2024, according to documents published by Israel’s Ministry of Finance and analyzed by Middle East Eye.
The agreement, valued at approximately 464 million shekels, appears among the Israeli Defence Ministry’s largest procurement commitments during the first year of the Gaza genocide. The documents state that the full value remained outstanding as of 31 December 2024, meaning nothing had been paid that year, with the engagement expected to conclude in 2027.
The documents do not specify which Microsoft software the agreement covers, which defence bodies or military units would use it, or whether 2027 refers to the licence term, payment schedule, or both.
Microsoft did not answer questions about the contract, telling MEE it “had nothing to add from our side.”
