Chilean progressive metal band Zenith Sins presents “Eyes Open Wide,” the third and final single leading into the band’s upcoming debut album The Mirror, due digitally on October 2, 2026.

Moving into a more introspective and luminous chapter, “Eyes Open Wide” is an emotional ballad centered on reconnecting with the inner child, confronting past wounds, and breaking through self-imposed barriers in order to regain control and begin again.

The track features Copiapó oboist Pablo Li, a member of The Geek Orchestra, whose oboe performance represents the voice of the inner child within the song’s narrative.

Recorded at Eneku Rock Studio, the single was engineered, edited and mixed by Nicolás Quinteros (Delta) and mastered by Steve Kitch (The Pineapple Thief). Music and lyrics were written by Nicolás Letelier, with arrangements developed by the full band.

“Eyes Open Wide” completes the trilogy of singles introducing The Mirror, a conceptual work combining music, narrative and themes surrounding mental health and personal transformation.

The band will also present the album live on October 15.

Originally featured on Electric Conjuring, “Stormrider” was re-recorded and mixed by Fabián Valdés at Igniter Recs, with artwork created by illustrator José Canales.

Iron Spell is currently working on material for its third studio album while preparing additional live shows for the remainder of 2026.

Chilean melodic thrash metal band AMNESSIA ETERNA presents its new single “Existir, Resistir,” a track centered on confronting the demons of the past, anxiety, and the struggle to survive when darker realities return.

Formed in 2017, Amnessia Eterna has released two studio albums, Malditos (2021) through Brutal Records and Penumbra (2024) through Sinusoide.

“Existir, Resistir” approaches survival as an act of resistance: facing internal conflict, enduring pressure, and continuing forward despite adversity.

The single was recorded at Estudios Ultrasónicos, with editing, mixing and mastering handled by Darkshapestudios.

Chilean gothic rock/metal band SOMBERWIND has released its second studio album, “The Labyrinth of Self,” once again through Greek label Sleaszy Rider Records.

Led by Marco Cusato on vocals, guitars and keyboards and Caterina Nix on vocals, SOMBERWIND continues the path established with its previous material while opening a darker new chapter in the band’s sound.

“The Labyrinth of Self” moves through atmospheric and shadowy soundscapes, intricate arrangements and dense musical structures designed to unfold as a continuous listening experience from beginning to end.

The album is currently available worldwide on digital platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Bandcamp. A physical CD edition is scheduled for October 2026 through Sleaszy Rider Records.

Chilean alternative metal band UNDESIRE has released its debut full-length album “Eclipse,” marking a new chapter for the band through a renewed lineup and an expanded musical, conceptual and visual direction.

Rather than presenting a strictly linear story, Eclipse unfolds through an interconnected universe developed across the album’s music, visual pieces, teasers, videos and live presentation. The concept began to take shape with “Broken Path” and continues expanding through the band’s latest audiovisual release.

The album represents an important step in UNDESIRE’s evolution, bringing together the different elements that have shaped the project while introducing the band’s current lineup: Lugzan on vocals, Sora and Uro on guitars, Az**el on bass and Eligos on drums.

The recording process saw the drums tracked at Estudio Tommy D’Angelo, while the remaining instruments were recorded by the band. Sora handled the mixing and mastering of the album.

The visual side of the project also plays an important role in the world surrounding Eclipse. The latest video features pre-production and lighting direction by Paulina Kim, with camera work and editing by Smnk Films.

With Eclipse, UNDESIRE presents its first complete full-length statement and continues developing a distinct identity within Chile’s alternative metal scene.

Chilean rock/metal band CRANEUS has released “Contra La Luz,” the second single from their upcoming album Desestrés, due November 21, 2026. Inspired by Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, the song explores love, distance and the passage of time.

Produced by Franco Gabelo at Estudios Gabelo, “Contra La Luz” marks a change in direction for the band, with a slower tempo and a more restrained approach while maintaining elements of CRANEUS’ established sound.

Desestrés will feature ten songs centered on different human experiences including loss, love, desire, identity, belonging, freedom and hope. “Contra La Luz” is the second of three singles scheduled to precede the album.

A music video filmed in Valparaíso by Abysmo Films, directed by Carlos Toro and starring Argentine actress Elian Maffioly, will also be released.

Chilean guitarist and composer Felipe Hernández will open for Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big, Racer X) this September 5 at La Bodeguita de Nicanor in Concepción, as part of Gilbert’s WROC Tour in Chile.

Hernández, based in Concepción, will perform with his instrumental trio alongside Polox Ferrada on bass and Iván Ortiz on drums. His project combines electric guitar, bass and drums with samples, sequences, vocals and acoustic elements under what he defines as Electrorganic Rock.

The show marks an important local appearance for Hernández, opening the first Paul Gilbert solo concert in Concepción following the conclusion of Mr. Big’s final chapter.
