Today we Honor and remember President Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, who has passed away at 100 years old.

Carter was a Navy veteran, and was the only President of the United States to have graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy.

The submarine USS Jimmy Carter (SSN-23) was named in his honor in 2005. His tireless humanitarian efforts to the American people will never be forgotten.
