This crisis is not over — far from it. Thousands of children are still separated from their parents with no clear plan on how to reunite them. This administration has single-handedly created a human tragedy with no plans to undo the damage they’ve done. ⠀

President Trump must end his “zero-tolerance” border policy to prevent further harm, and stop incarcerating families and children fleeing violence and oppression. This policy is devoid of humanity, does not make us safer, and in fact diverts resources away from addressing actual threats to the security of our nation.

Damage has been done to the humanity and dignity of the children and families directly affected and to our nation as a whole.
We must have a comprehensive immigration plan that reflects our values and honors our traditions.
