Byron Allen, Comcast settle long-running battle over alleged racism

“We’re excited to begin a new phase of partnership with Comcast and Xfinity, including the distribution of our cable channels for the first time on Xfinity platforms,” Allen, the founder, chairman and chief executive of Entertainment Studios/Allen Media Group, said in a statement. “I am very happy with the deal and Comcast and I look forward to a mutually-rewarding, long-term relationship.” #BlackLivesMatter #whatsyourvision #anythingispossible

Michael Che Of SNL Honors His Late Grandmother By Paying Her Neighbors’ Rent | TODAY

Michael Che, the Saturday Night Live comedian, is offering help to residents in the public housing building where his grandmother, who died of the coronavirus, once lived.His grandmother, Martha, once lived at 182 South Street, in the Alfred E. Smith Houses on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, but moved out in the 90s. He is paying one month's rent for all 160 residents of the NYCHA building. He shared on Instagram, that it's “crazy to me that residents of public housing are still expected to pay their rent” when so many New Yorkers were out of work. He feels that his contribution is just a drop in the bucket and hopes the city can provide long-term help during the pandemic for those in public housing especially this community where he spent his childhood summers. #whatsyourvision #wereallinthistogether

The man, the myth, the legend. Earl G. Graves, Sr. passed on April 6, 2020 after a long bout with Alzheimer's disease. Born and raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, a graduate of Morgan State University, a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, he will forever be best known as the founder of Black Enterprise Magazine and chairman of the media company Earl G. Graves, Ltd. He was the director for Aetna and Executive Board member of the Boy Scouts of America. Most significantly he was a stand for the economic success of African Americans, no matter what, and understood that easy is not in our vocabulary. Watch this video for a glimpse of him in his prime.
