NYC: join us this Thursday at Anthology Film Archives for GO GO GO SLOW, a launch party and curated evening of films by Jason Fulford Jason Fulford to celebrate FROZEN FEATURES, his brand new book that uses photomontage and chance to spin playful webs of memory and association across his expansive three-decade image practice.

From 7.30pm, Fulford will present a rare screening of John Smith’s SLOW GLASS (1988–91), which uses glassmaking as a prism for memory and transformation, preceded by Marie Menken’s GO! GO! GO! (1964), her ode to New York City on speed. Launch party after from 8.30pm, open to all! See you there.

In his second monograph NEW GENESIS, Abdulhamid Kircher continues his commitment to visceral, immersive storytelling with a four-year study of Sierra Kiss: a young woman navigating homelessness, addiction and domestic abuse in Los Angeles as she perseveres to create stability for her children, told with unflinching precision and empathy.

Kircher gets up close to show Kiss’s resilience and her attempts to find peace and safety alongside words pulled from her Instagram stories, indicting a welfare system of shelters, churches and social services so eroded by underfunding and policy that it can no longer sustain new generations of thriving, supported families.

OUT NOW: Jason Fulford fuses time, memory and association into a waking dream in FROZEN FEATURES, using photomontage to find the mystical lodged inside the everyday.

For nearly thirty years Jason Fulford has worked on the conviction that meaning lives less in any single photograph than in the sequence and everything happening around it. FROZEN FEATURES pushes that instinct further through layers composed at random from pictures made between 1996 and 2026, in which Fulford’s metaphysical slot machine creates a subliminal space where formal echoes accumulate and each square frame arrives bulging with colour and detail.
