The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identified the lone suspect involved in the late-night mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip as 64-year-old, Stephen Craig Paddock, a white male from Mesquite, Nevada.

Paddock opened fire on a crowd of more than 22,000 concert-goers from his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel on Sunday evening at approximately 10:08 p.m. The victims were across the street attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival concert when bullets rang out.

LVMPD SWAT responded to the call, breached the hotel room and found the suspect dead. The Clark County Fire Department estimated that approximately 515 people were transported to area hospitals and 58 are dead following Sunday evening’s shooting. Among the dead is an
LVMPD officer who was off-duty at the time. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. There were also two on-duty officers injured, one of whom was upgraded recently from critical to stable condition.

The other sustained non-life threatening wounds. This is still an active investigation. The Federal Bureau of Investigations is asking for anyone with videos or photos concerning the shooting to call 1-800-CALLFBI or (800) 225-5324.

LVMPD and Clark County Coroner’s Office have set up a hotline for family or friends to report a missing loved one connected to this incident. The hotline is only to take reports on missing people. The number is (866) 535-5654.

LVMPD also opened up a family reunification center at its headquarters at 400 S. Martin L. King Blvd. in Building B. The identification process of all of the injured and the deceased will take time, so authorities are asking the public for patience.

Sprint update regarding hurricane maria....

OCTOBER 1, 2017 - The significant devastation from Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Irma has made communications challenging in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. But with the help of personnel and resources currently on the ground, Sprint has begun restoring cell service to customers.

Air shipments have been arriving in Puerto Rico over the weekend with needed network equipment such as microwave and satellite backhaul sets that teams are immediately using as part of the restoration efforts. A large chartered cargo plane is being loaded with additional equipment and supplies in Miami and is expected to arrive in Puerto Rico shortly.

In response to the difficulty people stateside may be experiencing in reaching their loved ones in these impacted locations, Sprint is offering a service [] to anyone (regardless of their carrier) to register the cell phone number of Sprint customers in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. When the Sprint customer based in these locations has a connection to the network, that customer will be notified via a text message that family or friends in the U.S. are trying to reach them.

Why do websites insist on using our copyrighted photographs...... Some people never learn 😠.

Several more have been discovered..

This year, 30K students who attend 66 of the City’s 227 Community Schools will receive a free wireless device from Sprint.

On Saturday, September 30, 2017 at approximately 1950 hours police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcyclist on the Kosciuszko bridge, within the confines of the 108 Precinct. EMS responded to the location and transported a 27 year-old male to Woodhull Hospital, prior to police arrival, where was pronounced deceased.

An ongoing investigation by the NYPD's Highway Collision Squad has determined that the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway on the Kosciusko Bridge mid-span, when he was struck by another vehicle, which was also traveling eastbound in the left lane, as the vehicle attempted to make a lane change to the center lane. The motorcyclist then lost control and fell to the pavement, coming to a final rest in the right lane. The vehicle, possibly a dark colored sedan, did not remain at the scene.

All Cellular Service customers, in both Puerto Rico and the U.S Virgin Islands will have service upon the first roaming partners availability.

Service providers will not be charging additional roaming charges in the areas at this time. Please check with your service provider for the date “roaming” charges will be reinstated.

If you are having difficulties “roaming” on your cellular device simply “reset” the phone by turning it all the way off for a few seconds. Once you turn your device back on, you should be able to “roam” freely.

Large scale generators that can be used to power Cell sites, hospitals and other essential buildings will be brought to PR on this flight.

They will be departing JFK shortly.

The demolition of the Kosciusko bridge will not happen this weekend (September 23-24) despite what numerous media outlets aired.

As per the NYSDOT, once they have a firm date they will announce it.

We have notified the paging service that many outlets use to relay this information.

Sorry people.... NO BOOM BOOM SPLASH SPLASH this weekend...

Attn Maspeth followers....

Quick question...

Anybody know why the maspeth pizza house is closed today. We hope everything is ok.

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:

“The release of this footage sets a dangerous precedent that jeopardizes police officers' due process rights and confidentiality protections under state law. The district attorney's investigation into the case is still ongoing — it should be allowed to proceed free of pressure and interference, looking at all of the relevant facts alongside the video footage. Moreover, this footage constitutes a confidential personnel record that is protected under New York State Civil Rights Law Section 50-a, and releasing it in violation of the law will expose the police officers involved to a very real and substantial risk of harassment, reprisals and threats to their safety and the safety of their families. If fairness and justice are the goal, they won't be achieved by suspending police officers' rights whenever it is convenient to do so.”
