Another star in the sky!

The Rio de Janeiro native Nana Caymmi, the daughter of Dorival Caymmi and Stella Maris, died today at 84 years old.

Nana Caymmi was consider having one of the most beautiful voice in Brazil.

She was a highly respected Brazilian singer known for her interpretations of popular Brazilian music, especially the work of her father, Dorival Caymmi. She was a member of a family of musicians, including her father and her brothers. She also collaborated with other prominent figures in Brazilian music, like Antônio Carlos Jobim. Her discography includes many acclaimed albums, reflecting her deep appreciation for Brazilian music.

She became known for performing hits such as “Resposta ao Tempo”, “Não se Esqueça de Mim” and “Suave Veneno”, and many other songs by famous Brazilian musicians.

She died due to heart problems. She had been hospitalized for nine months at the São José Clinic in Rio de Janeiro.
